This property was newly equipped with everything required for a comfortable stay. It was a great base to explore Islay and very handy for the ferry and local shops and eateries. The off road parking was useful too.

Nothing that would stop us from returning. Best be aware there is a lack of local eating out places in Port Ellen.

Small compact flat no 3 ground level. Stay 5 nights. Short walk to the 2 pubs and the one dine in restaurant in town. Flat Spotlessly clean throughout. Double bed was clean and comfortable, although smaller than used to but managed. Cleaning products and equipment provided. Excellent kitchen area with everything you need for cooking and food storage. Good TV channels are available, and we had no problems with Wifi. Bedroom had clothes rack with shelves. ( shelf baskets for smaller items would have been helpful) Plenty of coat hooks on doors. Quiet area next to Ferry Port.

Was in the perfect spot—right by the beach and an easy walk to the Three Distillery Path, which made visiting Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg a breeze. The room was decent, had everything we needed, and the location really couldn’t be better. Ideal for a whisky trip to Islay!

Nothing, it was all great!

Great location and easy check in. They were extremely responsive and very friendly throughout the entire booking process and stay, and they let us check in several hours early without an extra charge. The rooms were clean and the views were great! There’s complimentary snacks available at all hours and a nice breakfast in the morning as well. Would highly recommend and we’d definitely stay there again!

The host running the guesthouse and serving breakfast made the experience wonderful. We felt like family as soon as we entered. It's was a quaint room that was clean and had comfortable beds. All you need to have a good rest and explore the island.

Breakfast was good. Eating area had a fridge for your own food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a tire on our that was leaking and the staff arranged an appointment with a mechanic.

Be aware that the private bathrooms are not attached to the bedrooms (at least in the room I booked). I didn't mind this, but some people might prefer an ensuite directly accessible from their bedroom.

I stayed at Cala Sith for 3 nights and it was a perfect base for exploring Islay. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and guests were able to use the breakfast room at any time too. The breakfast was amazing and staff super friendly.

We loved the location! Easy to walk around Port Ellen and right next to the ferry. Quick drives to many of the distilleries! Also loved that our room had a little living room and kitchenette. Room was as advertised!

Very minor: no instructions how to use bathroom and the fact that it's not a part of the unit. But I suspect it's common in Scotland (?)That's it! Seriously.

Bright, cute, charming, super clean, well equipped - that's about general area. The room is super cozy and comfortable. And complimentary kettle for tea or coffee with some biscuits and bottle of water - I did not expect it! The bathroom is quite spacious and clean. For the people that don't know how to use the heater(?) could be a bit frustrating because the switch is on the outside wall of the bathroom. Could be nice to have an instruction beforehand :) It was super quiet and the view is beautiful from all windows! The host is so good. Nice little chats, great attitude and hospitality. The location is very nice, it's right in the center of Port Ellen, so... Beaches, local supermarket and whisky walk are all just right there. Oh, and breakfast options are very good. Even though no eggs (maybe hard boiled) but besides that I enjoyed the breakfasts.

It was a little pricey for how small the rooms were, but everything else made up for any flaws

It was very central to the Port Ellen distilleries and the local restaurants and pubs were within walking distance and very fun.
