The noisy seagulls! Can't be helped as it is a seaside town! Haha. There is nothing not to like. Brunton Guesthouse is a very pleasant place to stay 😊

First off, my daughters and I had arrived in Clacton early, we did some sightseeing but I became very fatiqued and suffered with pain as I have fibromyalgia. I phoned the guesthouse to ask if we could check in a little earlier than 3:30, Sofia who answered my phone call was really lovely and said we could as the room was ready. When we had arrived, Sofia had answered the door with a lovely big smile and was ever so friendly. Such a lovely lady 😊 The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. It also had everything you would need for a stay, such as breakfast cereals, milk, hot drink items, etc. The room had a fridge, toaster and microwave, which were handy as other places where I've stayed don't offer these. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log! I usually suffer with insomnia and also a lot of aches and pains but the mattress was just right and I didn't wake up with my usual aches and pains. On the day of checkout, one of my daughters was suffering with a bad migraine and had been awake for most of the night, I called and asked if we could have a bit of a later checkout, Paul kindly agreed to let us stay for an extra half hour which was greatly needed. I'd definitely stay here again and 100% recommend it and Sofia and Paul are lovely hosts 😊

I really liked that breakfast was there for you in the room and that you had thought of everything like the ecentuals bread ,milk,yoghurt, and a variety of different spreads .it was a very lovely stay. I will definitely go back

If I had one gripe it would be to have softer towels, the towels we were given were off colour and felt hard in the skin

Wooow such a wonderful stay I had! I can only recommend this b&b😍 Everything was super clean! Bathroom was exceptionally clean supplied with brand new, soft white towels, hand wash and shower gel. Small fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave in the room. Fridge was filled with breakfast items. Oh and I got 4-5 different very fresh pieces of fruits every day. Cutlery with 2 plates were also provided. The mattress was super comfy, had such a nice sleep. Sheet were again super white and clean! Although they were full, the house was quiet so had a very nice rest during the night and could work during the day. There was also a good size round table with 2 chairs inside the room. The blinds are very efficient as well, kept the light out of the room. It is also very close to the sea!

The only thing I didn't like was the bed it needs a new mattress was very uncomfortable my side which was the side near the door

There is plenty of parking on site but it is a bit hit and miss, have stayed here a few times and have, on occasion had to park on the street over the road, not necessarily a problem but would be nice to park on site.

Nothing! All round a fantastic stay as always but was a little hot in room due to the hot weather. Just a suggestion to maybe get fans for rooms and charge a charge as would feel like a home from home.

My only very slight gripe would be that the bed was much smaller than I'm used to but it's a minor thing.

Perfect location, very close to beach, pier, shops etc. Off street parking a massive bonus, was able to park up early and come back at check in time (which was actually earlier than expected) Both Sofia & Paul very friendly and if you were new to the area would happily direct you to anything you wanted. Room very well stocked with snacks/ bread/ tea/ coffee etc. Would definitely return & recommend.

Noisy fridge in room made whirring noises throughout the night and constantly woke us. Water in shower was warm but didn't ever get hot.

Our room was clean and well-decorated with all that we needed, ie fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery and crockery; the continental breakfast, left for us each previous day was more than adequate, with quality food and drink. The guest house itself is only minutes from both Clacton seafront and town so is perfectly situated. We had a warm welcome and Sofia and Paul were only too happy to help us with anything we needed. For us it was the perfect place to stay and certainly added massively to the pleasure of our seaside holiday.
