I had a very pleasant stay. The location is quiet and relaxing, which was perfect for me as I work nights. The room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed, and the facilities were well-maintained. The homely and welcoming atmosphere made it an excellent place to unwind. The owners are truly lovely and always willing to help with anything you need, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely come back.

This property is a true haven—tucked away from the main road, so you can enjoy complete peace and quiet. The house itself is beautifully decorated, and from the moment you arrive, you're made to feel completely at home. We've stayed here before and loved it, but this time we brought our children along to enjoy the pool facilities and it was great. Our kids had a fantastic time, and we were given a very generous time slot to use the pool, which made the experience even more special. The house and surrounding grounds were spotless, clearly maintained with great care. Mary goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable and well looked after. Her hard work and attention to detail really shine through. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly escape with thoughtful touches throughout.

Everything was fantastic, couldn't have been more delighted with this little hidden gem of a place, Mary and Jim were fabulous hosts, made you feel really welcome, like part of the family, the room was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, pool was amazing, there is nothing not to like about Browns!!! Can’t really find anything I didn’t enjoy about this stay. Would recommend it to anyone. WiFi was a bit patchy in some rooms but mobile coverage was good.

Top class guesthouse. The best short break we’ve had in years. Great facilities, immaculate rooms and really friendly hosts. Handy for Peterhead and a good base for touring the North East coast. Will definitely stay here again and already looking forward to coming back.

Mary the host and her husband Jim were very welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. Jim went out of his way to set up the BBQ for us to have our steaks cooked to perfection for dinner. The pool and jacuzzi were super and very clean and well kept. We had a private few hours all to ourselves and it was just the ticket after long drives around Scotland. There was ample facilities with a shared kitchenette, lots of plates cutlery condiments, water and coffee and tea available too. I will definitely return to this lovely place and would highly recommend it if you’re travelling through the area and feel like a relaxing break.

Absolutely everything. Mary and James were a lovely couple who bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed and more. The rooms were spotless. The pool and hot tub were amazing and relaxing. It was a lovely chilled environment. Already planning our next stay. 10/10 for eveything!

Nothing not to like at all.

It has all the facilities of a major hotel but with the most caring hosts and a homely quality that means so much when you are working away. Mary and James couldn’t be more welcoming hosts. I felt at home immediately and wish I had booked it for the whole of my stay in St Fergus. The room was huge with a comfortable bed, the shower had perfect pressure and was hot on demand. The swimming pool with jacuzzi, after a long day at work was the absolute cherry on top. Highly recommend ++++++

Leaving 😔

Just home from the loveliest wee break at The Brown's.. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, our room was immaculate and very well presented as was the whole guest house. The facilities are amazing,Mary took her time to show us everything available..gym,jacuzzi bath,sauna,sun booth,pool with hot tub (can book the pool and hot tub for privacy!! It was brilliant for me learning to swim there!! I can now swim!!!) Proper home from home everything thought of,can use kitchen for making your own meals or order in! Cereals/bread available for breakfast,along with fresh juices,tea, coffee and hot chocolates throughout your visit. Such a lovely friendly couple,we will be back and highly recommend to everyone! Ps thank you so much for the homemade shortbread for our journey home it was amazing!!!

Nothing to dislike

Mary and Jim greeted us on arrival and showed us around , very friendly and chatty . It’s a bed and breakfast with 3/4 rooms with a guest kitchen, dining/living room separate from their main house . The guest kitchen had cereals, tea, coffee, butter and bottled water . The bed was so comfortable and a lovely large bathroom. The highlight was the pool and jacuzzi 😍 we enjoyed our one night escape and will certainly book again .

Great place to stay in Peterhead! Mary and her husband James are great hosts. They made us feel welcome. The house was very clean. The guests have a shared dining room and kitchen, which is ideal if you want to cook your meals. The owners have their own kitchen and dining room, so you don't share with them. The kitchen is well equipped and you can store a lot of drinks and food in the fridge. You can use their facilities (jacuzzi and swimming pool) free of charge. Just notify the owners when you want to use them. Also, there is a private jacuzzi room, sauna, gym and sun bed which costs extra. The house is located between Fraserburgh and Peterhead with near the local shops, country parks and beach—lots of parking space.

WOW! I can not recommend this place highly enough. What an absolute hidden treasure of a place. The whole house was absolutely stunning, everywhere was immaculate and the hosts were incredible. My six year old daughter didn’t want to leave after 2 days and she wasn’t the only one! Mary and Jim made us feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for an incredible stay!

Fabulous hidden gem in the north of Scotland. Mary and James are so lovely, they make you feel at home and great company to have a chat with. Very knowledgable about the local area too. Highlights are the amazing pool and jacuzzi area, beautiful rooms, well equipt kitchen and spacious parking. But most of all the couple who are there, Mary and James.

There was nothing to dislike. The location is slightly out the way but it was only 10 min drive to nearest town. Something nice about away from a town.
