The bathroom stank of old sweat. The fire alarm went off at 7am.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Great location and lovely decor. Clean towels . Location was picturesque in the heart of Old Town Bristol.

The hotel rooms are arranged around a courtyard and this was a bit noisy at times. There is a fountain in the courtyard and this was on all the time with constant running water sounds

There was a smell of drains in the corridor leading to the bedroom and in the bathroom. As we were only staying the night it was not a major problem but it wasn’t pleasant. The room was immaculately clean and the room itself did not smell.

The rooms are very small, but that's what you get in that location. My room had some sort of a mildewy smell in it, but I got used to it.

We can back late at night. It would have been nice if there were some dim lights on the steps as you go towards the hotel door as I struggled to see where I was going. The staff were friendly, but nobody was keen to have a conversation about how we found our stay, how the room was, if there was any feedback… it didn’t negatively impact our lovely stay, but I think that level of care and attention would have taken our (fabulous) stay up to the next level

Great location and design - everything felt incredibly cosy, it didn’t feel like we were staying in a hotel! Super comfortable beds and fan in the room (perfect for the heatwave!)

Room smelled a bit funky when we checked in but could be due to damp UK houses.

Location was excellent, and had a cute courtyard. Bed was comfy and great shower.

Bedroom was rather stuffy - windows partially opened to let in air, but shutters needed to be closed at night to block out light so any breeze was negated anyway. Electric fan supplied didn't add much value unfortunately. Bedroom lacked adequate storage for clothes - possibility to add compact wardrobe in the available space to side of bed? I was staying on my own but this would be more problematic for two guests.

Lovely location in the old city - central for all activities. Great welcome from the host. Well appointed reception / kitchen / lounge areas, with outside seating. Nice compact bedroom and bathroom. Little outside noise / disturbances to disrupt sleep.

Due to the central location there was quite a bit of noise from the bars on the streets closeby. It was also very hot in the room, although there was a fan provided.

It was a great location, the bed was very comfortable and shower powerful and clean.

It is very central so it will be a bit loud. I am ok with that but people should consider if that is right for them.

The location could not be faulted. The rooms were very prettily decorated. The staff were lovely. The rooms were well stocked with a fan and hot drinks.

There were noisy people working outside the hotel gates early on weekend morning.

I think this was the best breakfast we have had outside of luxury Asian hotels. Cooked to order, pretty much whatever you wanted

Way too hot. There's no ventilation at all without opening windows but it's too noisy to keep them open.

The location is great and the rooms are lovely.
