Dirty old carpets that may never have been cleaned. Other than in the Apartment, all the TV channels are of one programme, episode after episode with dreadful breaks. They all seem to be sponsored by "Banijay". Whilst having few adverts is lovely, the repeated parts of the programmes quickly become unbearable. The Apartment has UK TV but little else. There is no equipment in the kitchen, the bed is even more uncomfortable than the ones in the rooms and there is no space to move. All the beds, we have tried, are horribly uncomfortable. The furniture is tatty at best, There are so many little things that never get done.

It is convenient. The staff are very nice

I was disappointed with the toilet it didn't really flush. The shower had low pressure but that comes from an old building. curtains didn't cover the windows properly. The place just needs a good overhaul

Booked this hotel even after looking at reviews. I think some of the reviews were a little harsh. This hotel is cheap but it's basic and adaquit. Staff were friendly and beds were really comfy. Would come back again

It could have been better if they ask you what time you would like to have breakfast? and then do it the same time I would not mind waiting at least by the time they bring to you it would have been hot. Everything was self service for you to to on your own.The front entrance was not appealing ,ashtray and rubbish left on table was not clean or tidy up it was their the next day. The roof outside where you sit was dirty not clean ,Front entrance should be inviting.

The only thing I like was the hotel it self was quiet. But room was opposite on a main road so was very noisy at night. The room needed more up to dated , windows need cleaning, T.V was a problem could not access it properly. The price for room I thought it included breakfast but did not .The first morning we had to pay for breakfast which was £10.00 each , BREAKFAST TIME was 6.30am till 10.30am .We had breakfast by after 9.am .IT was cold to make coffee was cold everything was prepare before in hand so everything was cold had to access everything on our own.We did not do breakfast again, and what we had was not worth £10.00 each .Not all staff was friendly and helpful.

There are a great many little things that need repair and the property is very dated. The beds are very uncomfortable. The main thing that we don't like about the hotel, is that the Restaurant, effectively does not exist. There are function rooms of course. Weddings etc are catered for. Despite our extended stay though, we have yet to find the restaurant open to it's guests and the menu is Romanian food only. There are many weddings at the weekends but again these seem to be for the Romanian community only. Whilst Romanian food may be wonderful, we have little chance of finding out whilst we are here. We had hoped that, if not an Indian Menu, then perhaps a more cosmopolitan approach to the menu and access to the restaurant. The Bar also seems only ever to be open when there is a Romanian wedding. We feel that opportunities are being missed here. Guests at the Hotel are required to order in or eat out.

The Balcony was great. Being able to get outside without leaving the room, is a huge benefit. Tea and coffee in the room is good. The staff made our extended stay, easier than expected.

Very tired and dated hotel. On arrival, we were told that our room had mould and asked if we were happy to stay in it. We said that we would rather not stay in a mouldy room, so after a long discussion between 2 members of staff about whether another room was free or already booked, we were given an alternative room. The bathroom smelled damp / mouldy, and the light fitting was covered in mould. The bathroom window handles looked ready to fall off, and there was grout missing around the tiles of the bathroom floor. The water pressure was extremely low, making it impossible to have a shower, and the toilet was very difficult to flush. The bedroom was a very good size and I imagine quite nice in the 70s or 80s when it was last decorated. The room did not feel very clean, and we found hairs in one of the beds. The patio door didn't lock and lead to a very unsafe looking balcony, which wrapped around the room and over a bridge into woods. Because of this, the room didn't feel particularly safe or secure. The overall look and feeling of the hotel was similar to a low budget horror film, giving a slightly uneasy feeling and wondering if we would wake up the next morning. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and the price was cheap. I guess you get what you pay for and shouldn't expect too much from a budget hotel. Although basic cleanliness should come as standard, regardless of cost.

    The price.

    1. The bar wasn’t available the Thursday evening I was there. I was told it is usually open, not just this particular evening! 2. The restaurant was also closed this evening. Of course, their advert doesn’t say “the bar and restaurant are unlikely to be open when you come to stay.” 3. The TV didn’t work. I couldn’t get any channels at all. 4. The traffic noise could easily be heard through the windows. 5. The water pressure of the shower was so low, it was simply pathetic. 6. When I asked the receptionist about roadworks signs for “Road Ahead Closed” she said “I don’t know anything around here.” Not the kind of help I expect from a hotel receptionist.

The bedroom was fairly large and my room #18 wasn’t up/down too many stairs. I was able to check-in at 1:45pm.

There was no bar facility, despite saying bar open until 10pm, we asked if it was possible to get a drink at 8pm and was said no. The rooms were not serviced at all and had to ask twice for fresh towels , eventually getting them myself from reception.
