Plumbing the bathroom taps need replacing

We were in Jiffy's knot a lovely location but lacked charm and beds rather hard so a topper would be helpful as my husband had a bad back and said he could not return there lather loved the location.

Shower was a little bit cramped but it was easy to use with good pressure and temp controls

Location was fantastic, no road noises and very little noise travelled through rooms Plenty of parking for those driving in, plenty of footpaths to travel along for those on foot like myself 15-20 min walk to town, may be long for some but it's worth to get away from the crowds at the end of the day

The shower blocks up but it’s no massive issue. That’s the only thing I can think of!

Location and views plus the diggy Welcome pack was such a lovely touch!

It was a bit tricky to find the reception, could use some signage. Wifi was not the best either

I didn’t like no hot breakfast on offer for my stay.

I liked the remote location and being next to Windermere lake! Some rooms had an excellent view of the lake. It was especially handy having a fridge in your room too.

A very minor point — the interior finishes looked a little dated.

The single room I stayed in was clean and tidy, as was the bathroom. Basic facilities were provided, including a fridge, TV, and reliable Wi-Fi. The views around the estate were stunning, and during my stay, it was very quiet and peaceful. As a cyclist, I appreciated the proximity to the famous Kirkstone Pass.

The weather was very warm that week and maybe for curtains to be closed and window slightly open it wouldn't have been such a hot room to walk into. A fan was supplied on request which was essential. Bathroom window had to be wedged open as catch had broken.

Great welcome from reception staff, helpful information given. We were in top floor looking out towards the lake - absolutely beautiful and to watch the sunrise. Fridge in room was useful. Lounge/coffee facilities were appreciated. The walk to the lake was stunning and we were able to explore out on to the headland which was beautiful.

The shower will run out of hot water If you have a long shower And will not get the hot water only after a few hours. The wifi was very slow as i tested the speed and showed 2.6mb Finally the TV was very tiny and very old When you sit on bed to watch TV you can’t see it clearly due to the small screen.

The property is clean and very spacious for a room . And the view was beautiful

Narrow track not for nervous drivers. As an older cottage bathroom and bedroom quite dated but fine for us. Only lamp and power socket on one side of bed but we survived. Good WiFi.

5 minutes drive from Ambleside town centre. Ours was a terraced cottage separate from main site. I enjoyed the very quiet remote location. Single track virtually no traffic. Stone house meant cool even though hot and humid outside. Self contained house, most modern cons. Beautiful setting, saw a red deer close up a minute from the house.

I’d include the site map to find your room with the messages upfront. I couldn’t get the map to load from the link provided as there was no mobile reception, so took me ages to find the room

Good location near Ambleside. Clean comfy room at the end of a long day. Fridge in the room is a major bonus. Exceptional price compared to everything else in the area.

Wonderful location and friendly staff. We walked the way down to Ambleside and picked berries and met deer and cows. A quiet place almost directly on the lake. We had a room in a smaller house and enjoyed it very much.
