Room was very hot and couldn't keep the window open as it was too loud with all the traffic as the room was facing the main road

The owner was helpful and friendly

Wifi was not so good, we had a small issue with the kettle and shower which could have possibly been prevented but the host was very responsive and immediately helped out.

The location was great, bed and staff were very good as well. You can take a bus for the city centre by just crossing the street. Host is also very friendly and easy to reach.

We liked the location more than I anticipated. To get to the city centre we would take a nice refreshing walk right around or through the Holyrood Park which took about 45 minutes, which we found was an excellent way to start and end a day of exploration. Beds in our room were comfortable as was the shower, which had a temperature selection knob. For a place to crash after a busy day it was perfect.

The room itself was perfect for our stay, but if we had to mention one thing, it would be that there was slightly too much furniture. Reducing it a bit could make the space feel more open and easier to move around, especially for a family.

We had a great 3-day stay at the Brae Guest House as a family of three. The room was clean, comfortable, and just right for our needs. The location was very convenient, with a bus stop right outside and a Morrisons supermarket just behind the guest house. The neighbourhood felt safe and quiet, which made our stay even more relaxing. The hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome throughout. It was a pleasant and hassle-free experience, and we’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a simple, comfortable place to stay.

It was very expensive for what it was. One room and a bathroom with no kitchen. Quite small. The road noise is quite loud at night.

The location was quite good with a bus stop literally across the road. The host was very responsive and helpful.

One mattress in our room (closest to the window) was extremely worn out—you could feel the springs when you lay down, and it made a lot of noise whenever you moved. I didn't like that the staff entered the room to empty the trash bins without previous notice. We appreciate the change, but a heads-up would have been greatly appreciated since the first day it caught us by surprise to notice the empty bins when we came back from a tour. The flush button didn’t work properly, which caused some inconvenience during the stay.

The location was great. The option to do the check-in by yourself was very convenient. I liked that the staff provided several guides and maps to the city's attractions and activities. The room has a lot of natural light, and you could open the windows to let the fresh air get in. The room had plenty of storage areas, and each bed had a night table, which was very convenient. Our room had glasses and cups, a kettle, tea bags, coffee, milk ,and sugar. The Wi-fi was good and the TV was useful for us to play some music.

I didn't realise it was so far from the airport. Close to the sites of Edinburgh but its literally on the opposite side of town from Edinburgh airport & an expensive taxi ride. Otherwise a nice stay & good location.

Easy check in & check out. Extremely comfortable bed. Great shower. Cosy little guest house for the night.

It was quiet. Nice to have a small fridge.

Payment needed to be made separate from booking.com and with an eSim, that was difficult because verifications need to be made through text or call, which we didn't have access to. The wifi and TV were down when we arrived but were fixed the next day. The coffee maker didn't work and the housekeeper was helpful and replaced it for us. The shower has very little water pressure, very difficult to wash hair and hot water is low and inconsistent. Overall a great place run by lovely people and we'd stay again and recommend it.

Charming building in a great location, residential just outside Edinburgh center. Bus stop across the street, easy parking if you rent a car, close to Arthur's Seat hike and park, very close to Morrison's grocery. The owner Kadum and housekeeper were both very helpful and accommodating.

    Nothing as such.

The location was great in terms of grabbing a quick breakfast from near by cafes and close by supermarkets. During our short stay we literally just walked it out everywhere. Good bus connectivity options as well from the stay.

This place is quite far from the central but the bus station is in front of the apartment so it's easy to visit. The owner is really nice and there is cleaning service when we went out, i'm quite surprised. Recommend this place to have a great experience in Endinburgh
