This Inn is extremely charming and our room was confortable, modern and equipped. We were looking for this kind of establishment in our road trip in the UK and the Bowl Inn is a very good memory for us. The staff is gentle and professional, breakfast was splendid; having a beer in the terrasse, in a warm August evening, after a well spent day is priceless. Spacious free parking in front of the Inn is available.

One of the rooms smelt damp and mouldy. Breakfast service was very slow, two breakfasts were cold and poached eggs were overcooked.

Dinner was great! Tasty food & very attentive staff. Two of our rooms were comfortable and clean. Beautiful location.

Small things really: The WIFI was a bit inconsistent around the Inn ON Sunday morning at breakfast, there were church bells from the church next door (which we liked) but you couldn't hear them clearly because of the background music in the restaurant. Of course some people would prefer the music, I understand that!!

Breakfast was good value and delicious. on Saturday evening we had the evening meal and it was also delicious - I had scallops, trout and date pudding. Because we were staying at the Inn, we could both enjoy drinks with the meal and not have to think who was going to drive! The staff were excellent - professional and friendly - whether at the bar, restaurant, Front of house, or housekeeping. This was our third visit and it won't be our last!

Metal curtain rings on a metal pole, meant when a neighbouring guest pulled theirs back at 5.15 (and then dropped a wooden coat hanger on the wooden floor) meant an unwanted early start to the day.

Large room over the front of this old inn next to the church in a small village on the side of the Severn valley, very comfortable King bed, good selection of teas/coffee and loved the home baked cookies. Lovely atmosphere in the pub, staff were excellent despite being busy and short-staffed. Large terrace at rear overlooking a field along with more seating at the front. Carpark opposite with electric chargers (log number plate in pub). Very quiet despite being very close to the A38/M5/M4 on the map, couldn't hear them at all as the pub was situated down from the roads. Dog Friendly rooms. Good selection for included breakfast.

Breakfast - we had a good rate as a Sunday night but if we had paid a higher rate I would object to a breakfast supplement for a full English. Surprised there was no marmalade.

The room was nice although not keen on skylights

The 'piped music' could be heard at a low level in our room, but it went off at 10 pm on as Sunday, so not a big problem. The stair carpets are showing their age and could do with a clean.

The staff were welcoming, the room (deluxe double) was a decent size, and the breakfast was very good.

A room at the front meant people sat outside literally feet below your open window. Delivery vans made 5am drop offs each day. So don't expect more than 6 hrs sleep per night! Small thing, but the toilet seat was loose. We mentioned it every morning for the first 3 mornings, then gave up. It was never fixed. A broken hook on the back of the bathroom door, so nowhere to hang a dressing gown. Numerous light bulbs out in the dining room. Things like this just made the place feel.in need of a bit of TLC. Shame as its obviously busy and a well patronised establishment.

Ideal location for us with the event we wanted to visit only a mile away. Lovely big bed, very comfortable. Friendly staff. Tea, coffee and kettle in the room and a flask of fresh milk on request was a nice addition. Big car park opposite, just remember to put your car number in each time you park up.

Staff was I think a little overwhelmed, overworked and / or inexperienced (new). Although all in all they were kind enough 😊. They were also “out of” a lot of food: no “fish and chips”, no condiments (no jam & marmalade) Toilet was a SaniFlo type (grinder) that kept grinding when you were under the shower- not so classy 🥴. Room was warm (Summertime ☀️) and no fan was provided; maybe we could have asked for one at the reception but we didn’t so I don’t know if they can provide for one 🤷‍♂️.

One of the better (and more expensive) Inn’s we’ve stayed in. Kind of classy. Parking was good and convenient, in front of hotel in their own openair carpark with signing in - free of charge.

Our room was near an extract of some sort possibly from the kitchen? (It sounded like a hvac unit) - this made so much noise the whole night we barely got sleep - we'd hoped it would subside at some point but it continued all the way through. Luckily I had brought my earplugs but my mum wasn't so lucky. I'd advise guests sleeping in this room that it is an issue and provide maybe some free earplugs in future?

Beautiful room, nice facilities and furnishings. Comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast.

Unfortunately there was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom - coming from the drains, which really took the edge off what was otherwise a wonderful one night stay. I could not have stayed another night with that smell.

Delighted to be upgraded from 'The Snug' to 'The Duke'. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Loved the special detail l - fresh milk in a flask, good coffee & teas.
