The place is very dated and the area has little food options. I ate at the restaurant/bar and was disappointed with the quality of food (decent portion size I will note)

Room is excellent value and the bathroom facilities exceeded my expectations.

This is only a minor point but when the restaurant staff bring in more bacon in the mornings it gets tipped on top of what's already there so the older bacon is now at the bottom. Would make more sense to work out a way of putting the newer bacon at the bottom. Not a big issue though. I understand if it may be difficult to implement

The hotel states it has a pool/spa area but does not make it clear that it is no longer owned and you have to pay an additional charge to use it. Would not have booked this hotel if I had known.

The room was very hot (but so was the weather). I hadn’t realised when I booked that my room was upstairs and there was no lift. I managed, but I have a back injury so it was hard. Next time I’ll remember to ask for ground floor.

All pretty small things, not enough to complain about at all but worth noting for future famillies. The swimming pool we used across the car park a short walk away was lovely, however quite steep in price. I understand this didn't used to be an extra cost so to learn this when we paid £22 for the 4 of us (2 adults & 2 children) was a bit frustrating, especially when the children are only allowed in one of the two pools. (and only adults allowed in the jacuzzi/cold plunge/steam room/sauna) A lower price would've been a lot more appreciated. It was a warm day and the windows being limited to open due to health and safety left us all rather uncomfortable. The fan provided was incredibly dirty that it didn't work. My husband actually took it all apart and cleaned it which made it work a lot better. When asked at the desk for an additional fan there were none left, disappointing and could've been saved with the window being open when we arrived to help with the stifled air. Not necessarily a negative, but the hotel had a wedding on the same day as our visit, was lovely to see the excitement. However the children attending the wedding played outside on the grass which our room and multiple others backed onto which was absolutely fine until it got late, at least 11pm, luckily my children were already asleep due to being exhausted from a week long holiday already but it could've been quite disruptive. Staff simply asking them to move back inside after a cut off time would've been handy. Overall wouldn't stop me staying again, was a lovely place.

Lovely Staff, helpful and friendly. Great big room for a family and exactly what we needed. They were particularly friendly with my children who were excited to stay in a hotel like this with us for the first time! We stayed for dinner which was lovely, the girls behind the bar and serving food were very accommodating and helpful, food was great. The evening food was made obvious to us at the reception it was only available 5-7pm due to the wedding which was helpful to know in advance. Breakfast the next day was great, had to wait a little for eggs and hash browns but it was a busy time and I didn't mind waiting. Everything you could really want from a breakfast.

Breakfast was disappointing

Lovely location . Room was basic but spotless , no shampoo provided which I was not expecting. However helpful lady on reception provided some when I asked. Comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast a bit disappointing, wasn`t to keen on the sauce on my eggs benedict and the muffins tasted a bit old. My husbands omelette was burnt .

A little noisy overnight with slamming doors inside and delivery lorries in car park in early morning.

Advertising the hotel has a pool and leisure facilities, this is only half true there's a private leisure club on the site however hotel guests have to pay to access, plus family access is very limited only 3 hrs in an afternoon. We'd booked this hotel for the leisure facilities and never had the chance to use
