Very nice B&B with a familiar touch and perfect located in Oban. The couple running it was excellent and very service minded. Extra bonus with a common room with nice view over the city.

It was like a home away from home. The room was large with a little sitting area where we could eat the breakfast from the fridge. The cafetiere coffee was replenished every day so we enjoyed having that. The ensuite shower room was also a great size with plenty of room to lay toiletries out. The walk in large shower was great too. Towels were changed every day. There was also a fan provided. We felt very comfortable and slept very well each night. The location of the property was a 6 minute walk from the centre of Oban and buses.

The breakfast was limited, but having a minifridge in the room was wonderful!

The room was excellent with great views of the harbor and a comfortable bed. Since it was warm, it was great to have a fan provided in my room.

Nothing to dislike. Room quite small but not really a problem for staying overnight on my own. It is up a steep hill and if you have a car then parking might be tricky.

I never sleep well in a single bed pushed against a wall. If you don't mind that, then all was fine.

They managed to fit everything you might want or need into the room. Good location for the ferry. Great view over town.

Blair Villa South is located on a steep hill so not a problem but worth mentioning if you arrive by foot to expect a little climb especially if with luggage.

Alec the host was extremely friendly and reassuring. Very clean and comfortable single room with everything I needed. The bathroom was great and the shower amazing.

Lovely host welcoming you to Oban with fab view. Would stay again. Super quiet and easy parking.

Would be good to have a choice fir breakfast. Had been told there was somewhere secure to leave bike but had to leave outside on side path. Owner did try to hide it by putting bin in front. Was awkward to get up steps especially with cycle luggage. No offer of help from owner who stood and watched me struggling to get bike in place and secure it. However he allowed me in early to dry off as soaked to skin.

Breakfast was a breakfast put in room fridge night before. Health bar, yoghurt, baby bell cheese, carton of juice a pastry and banana. Good healthy choice but unfortunately don't like yoghurt,health bars (nuts) or choice of pastry.

Parking could be tight, but once you get a spot, you don't need to move

Great location to be able to walk to everything in town. No need to drive. Great view from upper level lounge. Very comfortable and clean. Very friendly hosts.

Elderly people who are not used to uphill road or some stairs (in the house) they might face some difficulties

Great location a couple of minutes to the main port. Traditional british lodgement, very interesting in case you are continental european. The owner who lives at the basement is very kind and he helped us to park the car at the neighbour.

Lots of hills and stairs. But that is what staying in Scotland is. Parking is on the street in front but we never had a problem

I really loved this stay and Oban has a whole. Great room and the host was super thoughtful and outstanding! Oban is famous for its seafood. The best we had in Scotland. It is also the kicking off point for various island tours. We did a 10 hour one and saw the beautiful islands. Host provided a packed breakfast with assorted packaged foods and juices. We were so happy with it as we took an early tour. Town is lovely too.

Less, what I did not like, and more on where it could have improved slightly. Room was a little small. Cooked breakfast would have been nice as hot food in the morning is not easy to come by and it is a “b&B”. The “Covid” justification for not having that is now out of date.

The host. Very cosy and friendly atmosphere. Great location. Very clean. Cafetière and selection of decaf and tea was really thoughtful. It was clear that the hosts had thought a lot about what they offer.

Nothing of note

The room was very clean and comfortable. Shower was also good. Hosts were friendly. An unexpected bonus was that the room had a window giving a view of the harbour.

It’s up the hill side, not a problem to me but might be for those with mobility issues
