Quite scruffy, the blinds in our room where lopsided and one corner down, the wraps around divan bases looked half arsed, the throws on our beds looked very worn, the duvet cover was ripped so a corner poked out, I found this out a little late in the evening so didn't report this to reception, all the issues I had with this place are very fixable, carpets worn in some areas of hotel and paintwork needs updating but this did not bother me as much as the little details in my room. For the price paid I expected better.

Easy check in, friendly but not overbearing, breakfast is good. The place feels clean.

Cobwebs in room It didn't spoil our stay just don't like cobwebs. To be fair you have very high ceilings in all the rooms.

The staff are all so helpful & professional. Well done 👏 ✔️ The breakfast was amazing 👏 5 stars 🌟 The rooms are very comfortable. Free parking

Unfortunately we were shocked at the price of breakfast. It cost £41 for two adults and a toddler. The cooked breakfast was nice, but so small. My toddler had scrambled egg on toast and enjoyed it, but for £9 it was overpriced. I truly regret deciding to have breakfast here - we should have walked to a cafe.

The location is superb. Free parking is a bonus and we managed to get parked without any problems, with a choice of spaces. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean & the room was spacious, modern and very clean.

Service at breakfast - one morning we were presented with wrong cooked meals and another morning had to wait 20 minutes for our order to be taken. One waiter in particular was off-hand and unfriendly. The rear half of the restaurant has a low ceiling with a dark wood feature fixed to it so it's very gloomy and depressing. Sea-view bedroom decorations were bodged -up jobs with plaster dropping down from scruffy ceiling. Also, next room's bathroom was directly behind our bed-head. and we could hear everything - not good planning.

Position, view from room, car parking

Our bath looked tired and stained, which was sad as the rest of the bathroom wasn't bad at all. The view outside our window in room 122 was poor. There was scaffolding and what looked like the back of the building where no effort was made to make the view pleasant. But other than that, it was a nice stay.

Nice bar prices and bar area, nice restaurant area and nice seating outside with cushions on every chair. Most of the staff were nice and accommodating. The room was generally nice with everything in it you need. We parked up relatively easily, considering it was on a first come, first served basis and unlike some hotels parking was free.

The towel radiator was on full blast when we arrived - we told reception when we checked in and was told housekeeping had left - we were told someone would come to sort it - when we left for dinner at 6 nobody had been so we told reception again - they said it was on the list - when we returned at 10pm it still hadn’t been sorted - it was a very hot day and this made the room even hotter and where the single beds were uncomfortable to sleep in we wasn’t informed it could not be sorted or it just hadn’t been done we wasn’t sure which one it was.

    Lovely place and great location
