Outside space badly needs attention - decking shabby, paint peeling from door and window frames, furniture grubby, external door at back of property buckled so unable to be securely locked. Soundproofing between main bedroom and living space non existent. Shower in ensuite bathroom so hot we couldn't use it! Floorboards very creaky all round.

Location was good Modern decor internally Well equipped for cooking -lots of pots, pans, trays etc Good bedroom layouts for family group Enough space for 6 people to sit and eat around the table, and sit and relax. Lots of parking.

The cleaning standard was very poor and with the interior needing some TLC, there was a broken coat hanger, towel hanger, boiler pipes covering was off and sat on the kitchen counter. We couldn’t use the oven as it was filthy including the trays and some of the kitchen flooring was needing attention. Not a good stay for the price paid and doesn’t bare well for other visitors.

    It was very spacious.

A lovely little cottage in the heart of Tarbet very close to Loch Lomond. Highly recommended!

Due to the remote location of the property, the mobile coverage was very poor in and around the immediate vicinity of the property. However, more annoyingly, the WiFi connection inside the property was very poor. The connection would go out regularly throughout the day and night. This would be a concern if you were intending to stay for business and needed a stable Internet connection. It did also make researching things to do and booking tickets for attractions a bit more challenging. The oven and trays when we arrived were very dirty and grimy. I did mention this to the host, who told me that he’d ask the cleaner to clean these, however, both the oven and trays were still grimy even after the fact. In the end, we cleaned the oven ourselves and used our own trays. Other than that, we didn’t have any issues with cleanliness at all.

A lovely little compound of cottages in the heart of Arrochar & Tarbet, just a stone's throw away from Loch Lomond. The owner is a very pleasant host and owns all four of the properties in the compound. I found the property to be in very good keep and condition and the host is very helpful and always available on the phone to discuss any issues and even give general tourist advice. The property is very well catered for your stay. There was a range of amenities all provided at no extra cost, which was very nice to see and very helpful. For reference, if you’re intending to stay, here are the items in the property available for our use: Toilet roll Kitchen towel Washing up liquid Towels Handwash Tea, coffee, sugar Rubbish bags Cleaning products Kitchenware Laundry powder I would highly recommend that you have a car available for the duration of your stay as the property is in a location that isn’t very well served by public transport. Even though the Arrochar & Tarbet railway station is merely a 1 minute walk away, the station doesn’t appear to have many scheduled trains throughout the day and thus a car would be needed if you wanted to visit any of the tourist attractions in the Loch Lomond area. The scenery outside the property is beautiful as it looks onto the Ben Reoch mountain. Great for hikers and there is even a lovely hidden trail behind the railway station that takes you out towards Arrochar and Loch Long. The kind host and beautiful surroundings make this property a great location if you want to stay in a quieter part of Loch Lomond, away from the hustle and bustle of a town or village, whilst still being very accessible by car to Loch Lomond. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and highly recommended. Looking forward to returning in the future!

The house was cold on arrival maybe we arrived earlier than expected, the owner quickly sorted that out. The shower tap in the bathroom downstairs seemed already broken, it was impossible to manage, the cold and hot water didn't seem to mix and it was scolding hot. We had to use the other bathroom to take a shower and there were five of us.

A very warm welcome in the house, so nice to have the basics presented for us for our use. The rooms were all comfortable and very clean, nice bedding and comfortable beds. Everything worked in the kitchen and the outside area was convenient to the kitchen.

Bathroom downstairs shower head leaked so sprayed everywhere, bath felt like it was going to collapse when standing in the shower. Decking area is rotten our dog fell through parts near the door, the decking area needs cleaning and painting, description of the property says it has access to water facilities and shows a picture of the beach and loch but that’s a 7 minute drive away. Very little around so don’t forget anything. Never seen midges like it before , once it was dark I couldn’t go outside.

House was nice, kitchen well set up, bedrooms good

The floorboards on the ground floor were a little squeaky, and that's the only issue we had with our stay. Definitely not a deal-breaker by any stretch of the imagination.

The property is a very short walk from the train station, and as a bonus there are only a handful of trains a day so you won't notice this proximity beyond the ease of access. The location is gorgeous, and provides access to many wonderful walks of a variety of challenge levels. Loch Lomond is a very short walk away and is breathtaking at any time of year, and a boat launch for tours is very close by. The cabin's proximity to the Slanj pub is very handy, and the little shop next to it has a surprisingly large collection for purchase for its size. The property was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I would highly recommend this for up to six guests at a time, but any more than that and you'd likely be cramped.
