Lack of parking on site ws a problem for disability but was manageable. Stairs could be an issue but if Vickie is aware she will try to arrange a ground floor suite, if available. Many of the properties within Bowness have similar challenges.

Vickie was an excellent host. We realised shortly before going that parking was on a public car.park. As one of us is disabled, Vickie expained that we could cancel and if there was a problem to get back in touch with her. As it is we decided to continue with the booking. Vickir explained that we coud unload at the door and that parking was a very short walk away. She also arranged a parking permit for us. Vickie also offered her private garden as secure parking for the mobility scooter, although it turned out not to be quite suitable and we found an alternative. The suite was a double size room and it was nice to have so much space. It is very central to Bowness. Literally a few minutes walk from cafes, shops etc.

The stay at Bowness Bay Suite was a great experience. Its location is in the middle of the town, very close to the pier and literally every restaurant and bar in Bowness. The room is very nice. And the owner had been very kind and helpful. We really appreciate her kindly offering us a free lift when we couldn’t get a taxi for the restaurant we booked. Definitely recommended!

Unfortunately we didn’t stay all 3 nights as the bed was so uncomfortable and my husband ended up getting on the sofa, so decided to go home after the 2nd night, we did report this to the manager and she was brilliant about it, they did get the mattress changed to a new one later that evening, and said would refund us the night we didn’t stay which is very kind of them, we will definitely be back now, seeing that they took action into what we said.

The suit was beautiful and such a great location, the team there was really nice and friendly and helped with parking and what to do,
