Edinburgh is a fantastic city and the accommodation is clean very central and the host was brilliant

I only have two suggestions. Change the mattresses the both beds were really hard. The bedding was a bit dated so maybe change the bedding. Oh and one more thing the TV in the room was not set up in English. I could have probably have asked our excellent host to change it but we muddled through.

The location was great, really easy to get into the city on a bus route, there was also some fantastic restaurants all within walking distance. Our host was very nice and nothing was too much trouble.

I guess it is only about room 3 which would be much better for one person and therefore with a smaller bed. Right now, it is even difficult to reach the other side of the bed. The room is on the street side and you may have to use earwax, with which I had no problem. The shower comes from the ceiling and has no handle, so it is a yogastyle washing:) but after all, we could deal with these things.

The guesthouse was beautifully furnished, which was a thing for me, as I was looking for the "antique style" while I have to be able to afford it. This georgian house is super located, as all the important buslines stop in front of it. You can walk into the City Center as well and it will take you about 10 minutes. The owner is very friendly, always helping out and we had a nice chat.

    Nothing in particular.

Basic continental breakfast, room clean, bed a bit creaky, pillows too hard for me. Location: excellent for travel into city centre, regular bus services outside the door.

A breakfast that included more protein options would be nice, but what was provided was good enough. Once I figured out the shower, it was all good.

The location with the bus stop steps away was a game-changer for getting around the city. I enjoyed the size of the room, comfy beds, and the included (free) breakfast. The host was very nice and accommodating too.

Bed was a double/full size, as advertised. but a bit tight for 2 adults. TV never worked, not a big deal, but Olympics were on and would have been nice to watch.

Hostess was nice and informative, Breakfast was European, but nice. Place we clean and well kept

Very good location, many great pubs around, near to Arthur’s Seat. Quite a nice stile and very well kept. Breakfasts were basic, not very Scottish, but ok for a start of the day.

    The beds were very uncomfortable.

In a great location right next to the bus stop. The lady running the place is so kind. Breakfast each morning was perfect. The room we stayed in was very large with plenty of space for three people’s things.

We stayed in the small double (not pictured) which is a very cosy room at the front of the house. We found it a bit awkward with two suitcases. If you pack light or are a solo traveller you will be fine, otherwise book one of the larger rooms. The mattress was very firm and I struggled with this on the first night, but found it fairly comfortable once I was used to it. The room could do with a freshen up, as it felt a bit worn and dated compared to the rest of the guest house.

Away from the hubub of the main centre, ideal for a peaceful night's sleep. Brilliant direct bus links to Leith and Portobello (and Edinburgh zoo!) with the bus stop almost outside of the front door. A basic continental breakfast including cereal, yoghurt, fruit and toast is included each morning and is a good start to the day. The hostess is lovely and welcoming. For the price, we found Bellevue a perfect base for exploring Edinburgh.

The shower was freezing cold or boiling hot. Nothing in between. The internet was there but rather weak

The owner/staff were really friendly. The decor was immaculate. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was plenty of info about Edinburgh : what to see and do. The bed was comfy. Adequate facilities in the bedroom. Very good continental breakfast. Walkable from the town centre Very close to Holyrood I ark which is definitely worth a visit!

The hot water button for the shower was stuck on so the switch outside had to be used to turn it on/off - staff now aware of this so will likely be fixed. Room is a little tight for space with funny shelves in the way around the bed. Towels were not absorbent.
