Breakfast was amazing. From table setting to the food. Cannot ask for anything better. The information about the house to the old church up the road and the gardens and plants. Cannot recommend it enough. Thanks for a memorable stay Paul and Stuart.

Extremely gracious hosts, who were very knowledgeable about the area and great engaging our kids. Very comfortable rooms. Lovely house and grounds. Delicious breakfast including fruit from the B&B's garden and home made jams.

Too bad to only stay for a night as stopover. But will come back and explore the area!

Very lovely and beatiful place, spacious room and bathroom. Tastefully decorated with good quality towels, bedding etc. Comfortable bed, very quiet at night. Superb breakfast with quality produce, we really enjoy it! The host Paul is very welcoming and friendly. And with the welcome treat - homemade scones and biscuits, very delicious. Very nice area to explore, love the 5-minute drive village Denholm, a place with good food and drinks. Highly recommended!

I booked this for my wife and her son, nothing but compliments. A warm welcome, beautiful settings, lovely bedroom, clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much for the very generous hosts and the breakfast was superb.

Nothing. There wasn’t anything to dislike. Hidden away in a magical little valley, the Old Manse is a truly wonderful and tranquil place to stay.

Everything. The manse itself is all you’d expect it to be and more besides. Beautifully well-presented and tastefully (and thoughtfully) appointed - and in a lovely setting that perfectly suits the building itself.

Perfect location for exploring the Borders. Very comfortable house with charming hosts. The friendly animals were an added bonus.

As a lovely old house with old plumbing, the shower could have been better - fairly weak flow, not very warm water. (Better the second time though, so maybe it was just us!)

House and location are superb = very comfortable. Paul was a very engaging host, knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was very good - very tasty free range eggs especially enjoyed!

Really enjoyed our stay … if we were being picky the tv was very small and not ‘smart’.

Welcoming, friendly hosts, good sized room with comfy bed, large bathroom, homemade treats to have with tea/coffee. Scrumptious breakfasts. Separate guest lounge for reading/relaxing. Loved hearing the flow of the river.

Location is stunning. Tucked out of the way. Hosts very welcoming, dogs and cats were too. Home from home with a lovely nod to times when people lived in a more elegant way. Immaculately clean. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Great attention to detail and personal touches. We really were guests in their home. Fab breakfast. Helpful advice when sought. All in all we had 3 very relaxing days and nights, and left rested and recharged. Thank you.

The house is exceptionally furnished with much attention to detail. We were warmly welcomed and looked after. We liked the idea of eating breakfast at the same table as the other guests. This created a family atmosphere and we were able to have nice conversations.

We had a very warm welcome from Paul, who was the perfect host, the house is beautiful in every way, the breakfast was very good, our room was very nice & the bed was really comfortable. Paul had thought of everything a guest would need while staying here, the attantion to detail and facilities were amazing. We will definately return if we need accomadation in this area again.

The breakfast was way better than expected with 6 different home-made jams and marmalade to choose from, apricots baked in honey and the most delicious smoked salmon. The hosts could not have been nicer nor more helpful and the place is just gorgeous! We loved it so much that we are going to pay for a night away as a wedding present for my brother and his new wife. Faultless and exceeded all our expectations.
