Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomThere was an air vent in the cabin that had a flap that made a noise when the wind blew, it woke us up a couple of times. The toilet was also leaking, if we had stayed longer than two nights we would have made more a fuss to get it fixed whilst there.
The cutest little cabin, very cosy! We always worry it’s going to be cold when we go places as we have such a toasty flat but it was perfect in this cabin. The hot tub was amazing, the little firepit was too. We enjoyed our bbq too. Very comfy bed and all the things you need for a pleasant stay. I loved the little shop filled with various things that you additionally may need. We walked down by the river to the beach too. Perfect views that help the soul relax. Honestly 10/10, we’ll be back definitely. Didn’t speak or see staff, but they were very responsive via booking.com. We paid for early check in at 2pm and late check out at 12pm. Thank you!!

United KingdomNothing, everything was good!
Lovely wee lodge, in a really nice location, good layout with plenty of room inside. Decking with a sofa and chairs which was perfect to sit outside on. Decor was lovely with the bee theme. Comfy bed, effective and quick heating used at night to make it cosy. Small cabin with honesty box for purchasing logs, local honey and homemade jam. Great hot tub which was a good size and water was nice and warm. Enclosed safe area, perfect for our dogs.

United KingdomNothing everything was great or manageable. Managed your expectations , be realistic, understand why you booked there in the first place. Anything that I or my wife felt or wished we had x or y etc was quickly washed away by the realisation it's no big deal we easily managed and Suzi/Callum are on hand. Don't take this the wrong way we definitely weren't slumming it or being inconvenienced.
We were left to our own devices. I never met Suzi however she was always just a msg away her husband Callum was on hand to take care of any issues we had like being shown how to work the heating. He had to replace the gas bottle which happened very quickly upon discovery we were out of gas. The cabin itself is small and cosy, warm and comfortable. The water pressure through out is bloody amazing!!!! The kitchen is well stocked or was for our needs ( we ain't foodies or chefs by any stretch of the imagination ) when I say well stocked I'm referring to the utensils and equipment. The oven/hob works very well. We chose to pay the extra to have the wifi box which worked great. The hot tub is fantastic it was ready to use upon arrival, it's the hard plastic kind not the inflatable ones. The garden, lighting and decor all help create a cosy homely feel. There's a fire pit and a charcoal/wood bbq we didn't use either of those. The TV has a free view box only however if your coming away to chill etc it's not an issue Netflix etc will still be there on your return home. The wee shop operates an honesty policy , there are books, dvds and board games to help yourself to. The bee hive ( where we stayed ) has a dvd player so don't bring lord of the rings extended blu rays like we did 😂 that being said it did not take away from our time there. The wee shop at the time of our visit July 25th sun 28th sold jam, honey, soap all hand made. Smores kits, firewood, bbq kits. We drove 20mins to cairnryan and went over to Belfast for a day. Stranraer isn't far and there you'll find all your Tesco, aldis, take aways etc. We took alot of food with us had we realised we wouldn't have bothered. So my advice is when you arrive hit the supermarket and that way you can buy just what you need. We came with a ton of food and left with a ton of food lol.

United KingdomIt's not in walking distance of a shop, restaurant or pub. This isn't a criticism. The place was lovely, secluded, and quiet. With the hot tub and fire pit games and books to keep us entertained we had a lovely relaxing weekend.
The Bee Hive was well kitted out with everything you could need for a lovely break away. Very spacious and immaculate.

United KingdomOne small thing was the number of towels provided. We had 1 hand towel and 1 large towel each, which would be fine if we didn't use the hot tub. So an extra towel would have been nice.
We loved the seclusion and peaceful surroundings. The amenities and facilities were fantastic and clean. And the bed was one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in.

United KingdomI can’t say there was anything I didn’t like.
The property itself was in such a peaceful area - the view was just amazing. The Bee Hive felt very private and we absolutely adored the interior! It was well thought out! Plenty facilities and a lot of things ate provided. The property was fenced which would be great for dogs - we are definitely visiting again and bringing our dog with next time. Even when we walked in they added a valentines touch with petals on the bed and a couples quiz on the dining table, just all round thoughtful owners!

Went to The Bee Hive hut last Sunday with my bf for a romantic night away and it was exactly what we got. The hut was spacious, well equipped, beautifully decorated and had all the little homely touches. We bought some logs and lit a fire and then used the hot tub. It was a little piece of heaven on earth! View was great and not a far walk from the beach. Cannot wait to go back. Taking the kids the next time and hiring the family hut. Cannot recommend this place enough!

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didn't like. Other than the weather but that's what we get for going in January!
Lovely lodge that is clean and airy. Beautifully decorated and a lovely set up. There couldn't be an easier place to get to. We came during January so the weather wasn't exactly on our side but we were warm and comfortable for our entire stay. The hot tub was fantastic as we have never been in one and has set the bar extremely high for future trips! Would love to come back with our children and stay in the Stag Hoose. Although close to the road, the site itself is very peaceful and quiet and you don't hear any road noise from within the cabin. Will absolutely recommend to family and friends and will definitely be back! Thank you Suzi for making us feel so welcome!

The privacy was wonderful for our break away from every day life. We arrived to milk and bread rolls in the fridge. The hut was clean, tidy and literally had everything you could need for us and our dog. We walked all the local walks recommended in the guide book and then enjoyed the beautiful hot tub. The dark starry skies and sun rises were amazing!
