The house needed coat hooks and boot racks for our wet gear

Great house, great location, perfect for our group of friends and family and the dog. Loved the little runway outside (we saw one plane take off very exciting!) and the beautiful rocky beach.

Maybe another shower as there was only one

Beautiful property with lots of space and views. We loved watching the occasional plane fly in and then take a walk to the Glenforsa Hotel for a meal. Afterwards we would walk across the runway to the beach :)

It would be helpful to have a place to hang coats in the entrance hall. The bathrooms both had quite complicated equipment in terms of a jacuzzi bath and walk in shower and it would have been useful to have a clear set of instructions on how to use them. We also hadn't appreciated that the living room was upstairs which gave the elderly, less mobile member of our party some issues as the banister was not easy to grasp. You also need to be a bit prepared as the local shop shut early on the night we arrived, and the hotels were booked so we had to go back to Tobermory to buy dinner.

The views from the house were magnificent and it is a very beautiful house which is well equipped and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed watching the changing weather on the loch.

It's a new build so quite a bit of snagging to be done. Say if you use the jacuzzi upstairs then we could see water seeping through the roof of the downstairs bedroom. It is not realistic to just have one bathroom with a shower for such big accommodation. The sink in master bedroom ensuite is just for completeness. The tiny sink is located on top of commode which is a pain to reach!

Modern, spacious and lots of social space. Modern baths with warm seat commodes and with jacuzzis. The view from top stairs lounge is awesome!

COLD! My husband has Parkinson’s and cannot deal with cold- any time we were down stairs we had outdoor clothes on- big coats. Hats and scarves. My son is an electrical engineer and my husband used to dealing with eco heating systems and they couldn’t get any heat downstairs. We had the little stove lite all the time we were in the house and it eventually warmed upstairs. The air source heat pump is not big enough for the house. This was a massive problem for us because of Chris’s Parkinsons. Also the towels, tea towels and dishcloths stank - they obviously couldn’t dry properly in the cold and soon stank of damp- puts you off using the shower/ bath to get dry on a smelly towel- washing up to dry with a smelly tea towel pretty pointless too. The high tech shower/ bath / toilet could do with instructions . I know there’s a lot of negative feedback there but the house could be perfect- amazing place / views/ design- the rest could be sorted by warming the house up and some instruments. There had been guests in immediately before us so the house should have been warmer.

Amazing location, beautiful house- would have rated higher apart from it was way too cold downstairs Rooms, beds and linens were lovely. Views and light in the house great- we were delighted on arrival but then realised how cold it was.

Pretty house, but had I known there was no beach access, I would not have booked this property.

'Beach House' is a misnomer - there is no easy access to the beach; a picture shows the house; you would not imagine an airstrip & fences in front with no access. One assumes you can access the beach if you say you have a 'beach house' to rent! I lived in California and beach house means sand is on your shoes & it's close/accessible - it was not; matter of fact, to even GET to the beach house if one tried right from the back door: 1) there was a fence, 2) then a garden, 3) then an airplane landing strip, 4)then a fence, 5) then rocks/beach. 'Beach' house listing should be changed. Instructions told me to walk down the road towards the hotel and then to a gate. On the gate was a sign saying basically no access (though I saw folks walking their dog across the airfield landing strip). On my trip I only booked mostly beach homes - had I known there was no beach access, I would not have booked it. Also, there was TOO much technology NOT to provide ANY info (except the WIFI password) - and I work in TECHNOLOGY! Missing instructions/preferred settings for: fireplace, heating & cooling, shower, jacuzzi tub, dryer, and 2 bathroom TVs. AirBNBs (which I almost always stay at) all provide a nice BINDER with information (wifi, AC & all instructions, sites to visit). The high-tech shower kept getting hotter that my friend had to jump out - had she known HOW to work it, it would have been an enjoyable experience. The dryer is a condenser type, meaning you need to EMPTY the water tank. Housekeeping did not empty - it was FULL when we used it. I hurt my finger trying to reopen the lockbox to put the keys back, so I put the keys under the mat. I sent an email saying where I put the keys & received several messages & a call saying they thought I perhaps took the keys. I did not.

    Pretty view, clean.
