Very minor stuff. Cool and very clean and modern area to buy drinks and snacks using phone 24/7 which was helpful, but prices were very high. Good for emergencies, but suggest buying what you need from Spar down the road or before getting to Betwys. Fresh coffee made by staff from a proper barista machine looked great and a lovely touch, but that starts at 9am so little late for those off hiking before then. But this is very minor stuff and the place and staff are great!

Excellent hostel! Friendly welcome and easy check in. Even changed bed to lower bunk. Super clean building. Excellent and spotless showers and toilets. Great location for all things in Betwys. Room was great: comfy bed, power and light, storage under bed, curtain for privacy, clean and airy. Nice little lounge area with tea making facilities, games, and sofas. Bar area with drinks and snacks you can buy with phone 24/7 and proper coffee from 9am. Whole building and facilities felt new and well kept. We went on the bank holiday weekend and although it was full it didn’t feel particularly busy. There is a car park behind the building but as it was a bank holiday it was already booked, which was expected (we parked one road). Generally a great experience and excellent value for money. Good work guys!

The hostel is a converted country house and they have done a superb job of the renovation to a hostel. Run like clockwork. Amy is a credit to your team - helpful, cheerful and knowledgable about the local area and Wales in general.

The staff are very nice and friendly. The whole place is clean and smells nice. Also, the drying room comes in handy for people who want to wash and dry their clothes!

Only thing I would suggest is that the window in the room could open more (only one side could be open). And maybe add a possibility for lockers? 🤗 it’s very safe but some of us travel with a laptop nowadays eheh

The staff was all amazing and super helpful! Coffee was nice and I liked that the bunk beds had curtains and the small light! Bathrooms and showers were clean and new. Good values for money ❤️

There was no kitchen. Only a small shared fridge, microwave, and kettle provided. However, this was enough for us as we were only staying for one night. The 4-bedroom was quite small and made it difficult for us to move around. When we arrived at night, the room was unbearably hot due to the 30+ degree weather during the day. It gets better after midnight (talking about around 2 a.m.) with windows opened. I wouldn’t expect the hostel to install ACs, but it might be a good idea for travellers to bring a portable fan! especially during heatwave season. Regarding the privacy curtains, one of my mates didn’t have one on their top bunk, even though the adjacent top bunk did. While they didn’t find it problematic, this should be addressed, especially for travellers who may value some privacy in a shared room with other strangers.

Nice hostel in a small, pretty town. Strategically located near Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), which we were planning to hike the day after. It's about a 20-minute drive to the Llanberis Path, with a couple of other hiking routes available nearby. It was absolutely silent at night, a nice change from the busy, noisy city environment. Privacy curtains were provided for the beds (except for one). The staff were kind and accommodating. We arrived after check-in hours, so they kindly messaged us the door code to access the hostel with additional instructions for check-in procedures. Inside, there was a self check-in kiosk, which was pretty handy. Free coffee was also available to make in the morning. Basic toiletries such as shower gels and shampoos were provided in each shared shower. 3 toilets and showers are available, making it convenient for us. Towels provided for each traveller!

Fantastic hostel. So comfy and clean. Great layout and even a lovely lounge area to chill any time of day or night. Super easy 24hr check in and great location in the townsite.

A little dusty from recent renovation but that was easily overlooked

Beautiful location - the hostel was central to all lovely views, walks and a hike up Snowdon. It was also impeccably furnished with amazing bathrooms. Truly my best hostel experience so far
