Nothing, it was perfect

From start to finish, it was 5 stars for my 2 night stay as a so traveller, it was comfy, welcoming, peaceful, yummy food and the hosts were excellent. From the little extra touches in the room, Swiss roll and whisky on arrival, a packed lunch when I had to miss breakfast due to a tour I had booked. Jane went above and beyond and James helped me with an issue with my rental car, who would have thought 🙂 It is literally a home from home. The comfiest bed I've ever slept in and so quiet, bliss in Bambridge House, with stunning views of Loch Ness and the extra bonus of the two resident bulls in the field across the way, who were 2 gentle giants relaxing above the views of Loch Ness

I can't think of anything I didn't like about Balmridge House. I didn't like having to leave!

Balmridge House is a fabulous bed and breakfast. Jane is the ultimate host - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious with a wonderful choice of dishes and the view from the table of rolling hills and Loch Ness in the distance was unbeatable.

We liked everything.

We loved our bedroom and the ensuite bathroom and also the conservatory where we could sit and contemplate the lovely view. The decor in the house was very much to our taste both peaceful and calm and created with great thought and care. Jane was an excellent host and it was clear she was very committed to her guests contentment. We very much enjoyed the breakfast offering too and recommend a stay at Balmridge House wholeheartedly.

There was nothing to dislike

It was extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished, clean and close to everything we wanted to visit. Jim & Jane warmly welcomed us and made us feel very cared for. The best B&B on our whole trip.

Absolutely nothing

This really is home from home. So clean with lots of special touches such as homemade cake and sherry in the room, bathrobes, lovely towels that smell so nice and are replaced every day. Comfy beds. A lovely log burner in the guest lounge. Fabulous views and very lovely hosts.

There is nothing bad about this place, you're a perfect example of how to host guests and make them feel spoilt and welcome.

I couldn't be happier with my stay at Balmridge house. From the very beginning Jane was so welcoming and an incredible host. - My room was beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed. I slept like a rock. - Bathroom is pure luxury and the spa bath was heavenly. - The location is ideal and walking distance into Drumnadrochit with walks straight from the property too. A very short drive to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. - Delicious homemade cake both days in the room. - Very cosy property with a lovely dining/lounge area. - I didn't have breakfast due to health issues but it smelt divine and Jane went out of her way to make sure I was okay and didn't need anything else instead of breakfast. - Ample parking in a quiet location.

Balmridge B&B is a gorgeous home whose owner Jane pays exceptional attention to detail - fresh flowers, luxury textiles, and extraordinary cleanliness! The owner cares and it shows - her beautiful home, her friendly, courteous welcome and ongoing hospitality set the Balmridge B&B on a level above 5*! I should also mention that our breakfasts, which were served in the lovely breakfast room, were absolutely delicious! Claire, who helped the owner, was pleasant, kind and efficient as well! Thank you for an amazing stay in one of our most favourite B&B’s ever!

The moment you enter, you feel right at home. Balmridge House is cosy and we were greeted with genuine warmth by lovely hostess Jane. Our room and bathroom were great and furnished with a great eye for detail and an understanding of what travellers appreciate when they look for a home away from home. The breakfasts were tailored to individual needs and simply scrumptious, thanks to Claire. We'll definitely come back to Balmridge House when we travel this area of Scotland again. I won’t speak of location, cleanliness or comfort - they are simply superb at this place. What amazed us is a variety of small details which, some will argue, are not necessary but, believe me, that make a huge difference. Fresh flowers, bath salt, home-made bakery pieces: all this adds up to the beauty of the surroundings and makes the experience unforgettable. This place is run by a wonderful family who care about their visitors and their reputation. Everything is just impeccable!

Nothing, it was all first class and more than exceeded our expectations

An absolutely first class experience. Jane and James were the perfect hosts who worked hard to make us feel welcome. We had a delicious array of breakfast items plus a comfortable bed and soft towels. The room was beautiful with fresh flowers, cake and complimentary sherry. The place is a delight and I would wholeheartedly recommend this bed and breakfast place.

From the second we arrived we were greeted with a great big smile and really friendly welcome. Our room was great, very clean, lovely en-suite and the bed was so comfy! Perfect little location to the local pub/ restaurant and lovely walk down to the Loch!

We had a lovely stay at Balmridge B&B! Jane was a fantastic host with lots of useful suggestions, very responsive to all our questions and went over and above to make sure we had a seamless stay! The breakfast was delicious and the rooms had everything we needed, with an added treat of having delicious cakes provided everyday! The location was fantastic and within walking distance to both shops and pubs. We did some stunning road cycles around the Loch and the went for a swim at Dores beach.

Absolutely nothing to fault.

I loved everything about this property and stay. The rooms are very comfortable with extra treats in your room. The breakfast is amazing with views from the breakfast room which you could stay in all day it’s that good. The hospitality is beyond what you would get from any b and b. Jane the Owner is the most friendliest person who made dinner reservations for us, gave us great local advice and generally made us feel right at home. This place is very special, a real home away from home. A rare find. We are already talking about dates for next year to go back and visit. Thank you Jane and Claire.

This place was a major highlight of my trip to Scotland! The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional Scottish decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside. We were served a delicious spread of traditional Scottish breakfast, including haggis, black pudding, and delicious homemade scones. What truly set this B&B apart, however, was the exceptional service. Jane and Jim were attentive, and friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Their local knowledge was invaluable in planning my daily excursions. This B&B is a true gem in the heart of beautiful nature, with a breathtaking Loch Ness view. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to my next visit.
