Spacious room with a very comfy King size bed. Very modern bathroom with a great sized shower and gorgeously fluffy towels. A real treat. The hotel is a converted castle with quirky corners, windy garrets and a resident "ghost". The walled garden is beautifully tended and pleasant to take a walk around. We had a lovely dinner in the Garden Restaurant amidst very high ceilings and looking out to the aforementioned garden. It was raining and blowing a gale by that time so we couldn't sit outside. Fabulous location directly opposite the coastline.

Charming hotel right on the water. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely dinner in the dining room. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. We had a nice stay.

The buffet breakfast was very good and a choice of continental, traditional cooked or grains etc. Service was prompt and friendly. The evening meal was well cooked and very enjoyable. The reception staff and bar and restaurant staff were without exception very helpful and professional.

My only complaint is their smoking area. It was basically a bus shelter with no seats or even a table to rest your drink on.

Bar area was good how ever under staffed as service was a little slow. Not the fault of the staff as they where busy doing other things.

The whole hotel is loverly , room was very clean and tidy and had a great nights sleep . Food in the bar area could be better or more choice however what i had was good

The only small thing was in the restaurant on our second night - when it was busy - there didn’t seem to be enough dining room staff. We had a reservation and arrived at that time. We were left at the entrance for 5 minutes with no sign of a staff member. I had to then go and find someone. We then didn’t get our drink for another 20 minutes from ordering it. I think that they forgot about it. We had to ask again. So we were nearly half an hour from arriving at the restaurant to actually getting a drink. It seemed a bit chaotic. If it wasn’t for that - it would have been a perfect stay. The food however really made up for it, and as I said it was a busy time - although not full.

The food was delicious - we had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. The room had a lovely view of the sea. Rooms are very comfortable. Staff are friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
