The hotel is an old building full of character. I really liked it's cosy retro interior. The room, the restaurant and the food was of a good quality. Plenty of parking outside. The area is quiet. Just perfect for a night stop on a road trip across Scotland, and I would have loved to stay longer!

United KingdomThe pool although lovely and warm like a bath, some unfriendly pool users present. Two lanes are closed off and unbeknown to us these lanes are on a booking service. When we were aware we moved straight away into the main pool but were the topic of conversation thereafter which was off puting. The hotel should make sure guests are aware to book the lanes. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in unfortunately but this did not detract from my stay.
The hotel is beautiful. Old building which looks well cared for. Comfortable lounge and dining area. The staff are very attentive and nothing is any trouble. The terrace area was well used as the weather was great, lovely outlook from all rooms. We dined in the restaurant which was very good, generous portions, food was nice and hot too. We were on a bed and breakfast plan, loads of choice for breakfast including fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries. Table service for cooked breakfast which was tasty and hot. Plenty to choose from at the bar including cocktails. Plenty of car parking available and a lift for those not as mobile. All communal areas spotlessly clean, Plenty of seating available.
