The bathroom is located on the first floor and the room is on ground floor. Will be better if the bathroom will be on the same floor.

We were only given 4 towels for 4 days and there were 2 of us. The bathroom was a bit dirty. No kitchen with us having to buy water each night.

Location was really good in a quiet area. The staff were really nice and the TV had good apps on it. Bed was nice and clean.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who remained present, kind, and attentive to answer our questions. The apartment is well-equipped with all the essentials and in impeccable cleanliness. The bedding was spotless, and the bathroom was perfectly clean." There was no noise of any kind; we had two quiet nights both in the building and on the street. The apartment is located a 30-minute walk from Edinburgh city center, which is very pleasant, especially since along the way you can visit the Museum, the Old College, and the unique street is filled with a variety of shops that make the walk enjoyable. Taking a bus would save you 10 to 15 minutes, but it would come at a cost! The owner kindly stored our luggage outside of the rental for a day, showing her thoughtful attention to providing a great experience."

The double bed was a bit snug for 2 people. Since there is so much extra space in the room, it could get an upgrade to a queen bed at least.

Bala house is just 1 mile from the main old town and a has a bus stop right outside with buses coming every 10 min to take you directly there. There is also option of walking (with tons of cool shops and restaurants on the way) and you’ll reach in 30 minutes. The rooms are quiet and fairly spacious considering the size and density of Edinburgh. The lady that checked us in is also so sweet and waited up for us late into the night.

The TV has very poor signal so we couldn't watch anything in the evenings.

Handy location near to a main bus route to the city centre and Old Town, with only a short wait for buses. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful.

It wasn't made clear that parking at the property was not guaranteed, which is OK at the weekends as there is plenty of non-restricted parking available nearby, but not during the week.

Bala House is in a quiet and lovely area, just a few minutes from Edinburgh city centre. It’s about a 25-minute walk, but buses run all the time and are super convenient. The hosts were really welcoming and kind. The room had everything we needed and was nice and clean. Recommended!

The pillows on the bed are uncomfortable (but that's just our opinion. Maybe someone else would love them. The temperature in the shower fluctuates, and the bathroom temperature is pretty cold. All minor things, I would definitely stay here again.

Nadia was super friendly. Free parking was amazing, and it was super clean. It's half an hour walk, so everything is still in walking distance. The location is pretty quiet, which is nice.

Wasn’t very soundproof. Neighbours were elephants.. not really the appartments fault.

The property was cozy and the location was perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh. It had all the facilities we needed. The lady that showed us the room was very kind and gave us some good information of things to do. She even refilled our coffees and teas after our first night.

Just a bit too noisy toilet fan.

Very nice and clean room. Good size. Lovely comfortable bed, but I think it could be a bit too small for others. Staff amazing, quickly answer for any questions before we arrived. Close by is a bus station but also you can walk to centre about 30min. Quiet Lovely place.
