Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Free and easy access, great shower, excellent facilities. comfy bed, enough hangers in the wardrobe, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, iron all provided. Ample tea, coffee & milk all provided.

Very minor but with everything in one room, the noise of the fridge whirring during the night did wake me a bit, but having the fridge was good!
The room had everything I could have wanted for an overnight stay. The host communication was excellent too.

- close proximity to local station. Easy to navigate getting into central London. - quiet location. - comfortable room for two with amenities provided. - cereal and milk provided making it easy to just “get up and go” in the mornings - hosts on hand to help if required but overall, leave you to it

The room was very hot in the heatwave - but there is very little the hosts can do about that. A fan was supplied to help coping with the heat.
The room does what it says in the description, everything is very clearly thought through. The care that goes into the room is great and the hospitality is exceptional. The fridge had milk, yoghurt and even fresh blueberries and there is muesli or ceramic to go with coffee or tea.

A small fan heater would have been great. I really feel the cold and as I was a bit cold the first night but very warm the second. An extra bath mat. Both extremely minor points in the overall stay.
Clean, tidy, well planned layout, very comfy bed, blackout curtains, plenty of space and storage. It was really lovely.

I liked that the room had a little kitchenette, giving the ability to cook if you needed too, the location was good for me as I liked walking along the canal, bus stop was nearby if needed 🙂

The property was easy to locate and had ample parking. Also close to local amenities, with good bus links to the surrounding towns. The suite was comfortable, with a generous supply of cereal and beverages. The hosts were amazingly friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

There was nothing I didn't like
The hosts were amazing- friendly, helpful, professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. The space was clean, neat, well furnished and most comfortable with an ensuite bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette, including coffee, tea, sugar, cereals, yogurt, milk and fruit. This was truly unexpected but so appreciated! The location was ideal, within walking distance to Woking Town centre, station and shopping centres I will most definitely return

Absolutely nothing I didn't like. Met and exceeded, my expectations
Beautifully decorated, comfortable, compact space with en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. Within walking distance of all I needed, Woking shopping district - Peacock Centre & Victoria as well as Horsell. Host is engaging, friendly and most helpful.

Breakfast in the room. Microwave, toaster, kettle and 2 ring hob, fridge and full cooking utensils in room. Bed comfy. Good bathroom en suite Big TV with streaming facilities. Free Wifi. Would recommend.

Hosts were amazing. Very comfy bed, had a good sleep. Loved meeting the cute dogs also! Friendly, peaceful atmosphere. Room was clean and well equipped. We'll definitely be staying again!
