The walls between the rooms are paper-thin, which we didn't mind too since there weren't many guests. We missed a direct contact to the owners who live next door.

It is a nice lodge with a wonderful view. Don't expect too much luxury since it is a kind of high standard youth hostel, however, with a good value for money. We liked being in the kitchen and the lounge, meeting other people. The views from the breakfast table are breathtaking. The kitchen floor and fridges could have been cleaner, however, the room was immaculate.

The walls of the bedrooms were quite thin and you could hear noise through them, the showers were on a different floor to our room and there were only 2 showers shared between all the rooms

Great location for exploration of the island of Mull, easy parking and lovely views of The Sound of Mull. Rooms are clean , and there are nice big comfy sofas in the shared living area. Shared kitchen and dinning space so you could chat to other travellers

Helpful to have a car to get to food shops and local sights as quite remote ( but was on a bus route so others said)

Clean and comfy. Communal areas were ample and a lovely place to meet a variety of friendly travellers and swap recommendations. Plenty of fridge space and cooking utensils. Nice walk down to sea shore. Friendly owners live next door but it's all self.catering so a staffless venue. Looked like worked well for most.

Beds were ok but not especially comfortable. Noise in the evening and morning was fine, but a little annoying as could hear people's conversations and doors opening and shutting.

Although the location is near the main road from Tobermory to Craignure, it is a few miles out of town so your own transport is important. Though, if you are lucky, your fellow residents will give you lifts.

Superbly equipped communal kitchen with allocated storage space for everyone’s supplies. A very friendly atmosphere. A great place to meet fellow-travellers.

How small the bath towels were. They were more like a hand towel or bathmat.

I liked the warm atmosphere. It was a very welcoming Lodge. Our keys were accessible when we got there the beds were comfortable and the blankets were nice and warm. The bathrooms were right on the same floor and the showers were downstairs clean. Very spacious kitchen and community room. Lots of parking.

Kitchen was well equipped. Cleanliness of course depends on who is staying and if they clean up after themselves. Kitchen was very clean after the staff cleaned the kitchen each day. We tried to be first to cook. 4 refrigerators and your own bin to store your food on a self.

Water pressure was low, and the first person taking shower the water wasn't very hot either, it's a bit annoying if you need to wash your hair. Also the room was cold when we arrived at 10 pm.

Beautiful location looking down the Sound of Mull. The shared kitchen facilities were excellent and the lounge area was comfortable with plenty of books and games. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom facilities were clean also. Great affordable option for staying on Mull.

I heard someone snoring in the room next to me but managed to get to sleep as the surrounding is so quiet.

First time at Arle lodge and not used to sharing a kitchen with other guests. However once I got used to that everything else was great and the accommodation was pretty central to where I wanted to visit.
