- Soundproofing could be better but it’s alright. Recommend this place 100%!

- Good pricing: Accommodation in Edinburgh can be really expensive especially in summer. Our 1-night stay was reasonably priced. It’s good value for money. - Great location: There’s a bus stop right in front of the guest house. There are multiple routes that can take you to/from the city centre and the old town. It’s only 15 mins away. There’s also a supermarket nearby within walking distance. - Great communication: The owner Maureen is very responsive. Communication was very easy. The self check in process was also seamless. - Free onsite parking!

We were on the last floor, so carrying the luggage up n down was a little hard.

The location is so perfect just a straight road from the city and also love the fact there’s a mall diagonally opposite to load up with essentials. Yes it’s an old building they’ve tried to give as much as modern amenity as possible.

We had to carry our luggage up the stairs, but not a big deal.

The room with one queen bed and one single bed was very clean with private bath facilities. We were able to store our luggage in a secure location until we were ready to leave. We mainly used Uber drivers to get around the city due to our luggage. The Ardgowan Guest House is also within walking distance to a Mall with fast food and a Sainsbury's Store.

Lovely house. Nice room. Good location for access to the hospital as I was going for an operation. Good food shops close by. Nice host. Very welcoming. Great place and had a great sleep.

Bed was creaky but comfortable. Floor boards were creaky but it is an.old house so to be expected. Plenty of stairs to climb so not suitable for someone with a disability.

Beautiful old house, fantastic stairwell. Room much better in real life, photos don't do the house justice. Plenty of buses into town.

I love the vibe of that place. Perfect for anyone who’d like to sleep in tipical English house. Very well communicated with the city center. Shopping mall and McDonalds in 5 min walk distance. Clean, comfy, very helpful staff .

Even although the bathroom was private it was outside the bedroom. We were a group of older ladies finding it a bit awkward during the night.

It didn’t have an access to kitchen however with guest house it’s more than enough with en-suite bathroom. Nothing much to say about not liking anything. It’s actually value for money stay.

Property is well placed near the city centre and in a decent area. Good parking space right in front. Very easy to access. The rooms and furnishings and bedding was spotless and comfortable. The host was gracious and courteous. Provided all necessary information. Enough towels, toilet paper and tea and coffee was there along with cutlery. Tv was there in the room. Room had good space inside to walk around even with one double and two single beds. It was perfect for just a night stay.
