Nothing. The only thing missing was have a shelf over the shower/bath to put your soap/shower Gel etc

Very central to the town with restaurants, cafes, pubs etc just minutes away, and a bus stop just around the corner to take you to anywhere in the Lakes. A good hearty breakfast freshly cooked with excellent choices, plus cereals, pastries fruit, juices etc

There wasn't anything negative I'd say.

The staff were lovely and extremely helpful, it has car parking which is very convenient in Ambleside, the room, bed and pillows were very comfortable, you can make tea and coffee in your room, a big glass bottle of water was provided daily, and the breakfast was lovely.

The car park was a bit steep so I had to park carefully (but is free and on-site so a minor negative).

We would certainly return. It was very close to town, clean and the room was bigger than expected. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Over three days we tried everything on the breakfast menu and it was all delicious, I struggled to think of anything I would want that they didn't have to offer.

There wasn't any shampoo. Biscuits weren't provided. More 'special touches' in the room would have been nice as it's a 4* B&B.

My room was on the ground floor, looking over the car park. A view would have been nice and it's a pain having to choose between natural light and people walking past your window seeing in. Felt more like a hotel then a B&B somehow, perhaps because it wasn't a family run thing with different people at breakfast every day. Not sure if that's a criticism more just a note. A fridge would be nice so you can store snacks for hikes easier but then again you can also pop into Tesco on the way out each morning. Not sure about value for money but then it was the lakes in mid august so maybe can't be helped.

Room was spacious and comfy, lots of choice at breakfast with a small selection of pastries and a choice of hot food. Staff were very friendly at breakfast. Everything was very easy check in and out, didn't have any issues. Got there a bit early for check in but that wasn't a problem didn't have to pay extra to check in then. Great location in Ambleside, handy for buses, walks, pubs, everything.

For us the parking was fine as we had a suite and had a private parking bay. On arrival we used the normal car park at the side and if that was our only choice it would have been difficult to park up there...very tight. That is just a heads up for people staying here. The suites at the back are great for parking.

Great location with on site parking. Lovely decent sized room, but the star of the show here was the breakfast. Five cooked choices, including traditional fry up, scrambled or poached eggs and two different types of pancakes, also plenty of cereal, yogurt, fruit and tea and coffee.

There was a router (or something similar) in the room that had a constantly blinking light. During the daytime this wasn't very noticeable, but at night I did have to cover it with an item of clothing.

The location is very good - walking distance to everything in Ambleside, plus close to the bus stops to get to other parts of the Lake District. Breakfast included gluten free bread and cornflakes, always good to have!

Breakfast is amazing, with a-la-carte eggs, and buffet with yogurt parfaits, breads, and other snacks. Beautiful dining room. On-site parking is an authentic local experience, but much appreciated. Staff were really wonderful and helpful. After-hours check in was flawless.

Nothing to dislike and our only grumble was the parking was a little tight and not too many parks available.

Location was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and lots of useful information given on arrival. The chap on reception even carried my suitcase to my room which was lovely as it was on the top floor and I may have struggled. Despite checking out at 10 am we were told we could leave the car in the car park but to be out by 3 pm checking in time for other guests. This was really helpful.

Fantastic accommodation, the rooms where very well kept and the hosts couldn't do enough for you, the breakfast was amazing and we would definitely go again.
