I would have liked more variety for breakfast but it's not a deal breaker.

The view was great. The staff are lovely. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. We would definitely book again.

The room was very small. We has no toilet paper replacement and no biscuits

The lunch was delicious but the service was slow. We are sad we are sat at the back in the corner now with the dog. The night porter Gary was very cheery and helpful.

Shower/tiles needed deep clean, probably hard water area though, not dirty but maybe stained. Lack of near parking could be problematic as car park nearby full. Pub on lower level could disturb an otherwise great sleep.

A Lovely old building, stylishly decorated and very chilled and comfortable for a restful stay. In prime position over the beach and harbour.A very nice room also, smaller than expected, but perfectly adequate for short stay. Such a cosy and comfortable bed that sat quite high, could be problematic for some, but we enjoyed it as it enabled a better sea view..maybe its intentional? Teas and coffee facilities were great, a good selection of quality teas and coffee. A fan in case the room got hot but with the window opened it allowed a lovely sea breeze..We found the room to have a wonderful peaceful vibe and felt very relaxed during our stay especially as we retired for the night quite late after a night out. Great shower and gels provided though. A lovely bar and restaurant downstairs that served great drinks and food, very very enjoyable and a great ambience. All staff were pretty much really helpful and friendly. Especially bar and restaurant staff and day and night porter. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend and revisit!

Only slight issue was the apartment was below ground but no real issue.

We took our Dog and the location is fantastic right by the beach. Great walk down, and after the main beach the dog can be off the lead. Shower was great and the breakfast was out of this world.

It’s a shame the tv doesn’t work properly. I know that they warn you but surely if you pay £200 per night they can afford cable or something different than just terrestrial tv.

Unable to get TV reception. The information folder mentioned this and said most guests bring a fire stick or log into their own digital system. Not a problem as we were only there for one night.

Great location on a hill overlooking the sea. A few minutes walk down to Ramsgate Harbour. Comfortable mattress. Friendly staff.

The bathroom door was grubby and needs a good clean. There was a lack of interest from the front of house team on Friday and Saturday. The artwork in the lounge was a strange mix of random photos.

The location and the style of the hotel are amazing. The receptionist on arrival was very friendly and gave us a better room than we had originally booked.

There was no emote control for the TV. As my room was on the top floor, I couldn't be bothered going downstairs to get it sorted so I did without. There was no room for me to work. I had to move the tea/coffee tray across to the other side of the room in order to work on my laptop.

The breakfast was excellent, one of the best English breakfasts I've ever had. Everything cooked to perfection. The poached eggs spot on as was everything else.

There is no lift, and climbing three steep flights of stairs isn't for everyone. At the very top, where the walls narrow, I had to duck and turn my shoulders to negotiate the gap (I'm 6ft 1in). That's the down side of a historic building, I guess. The room was too warm (in April), even with a window open, and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work.

The Grade II listed building has been tastefully preserved and decorated in a sympathetic manner, retaining a palpable sense of history. Our room at the top the house was lovely, with oak beams, a nautical feel and a superb view of the Royal Harbour. It was also spotless. We loved the en suite bathroom with its generous shower, which worked perfectly. The staff were great, warm and helpful without being obsequious, and our full English breakfast was excellent. The coffee was especially good, piping hot and freshly made - which is not always the case in hotels at this price point.
