My only smalll concern is the dated state of facilities. Universities are obviously under-going serious financial difficulties, so only concern is the longer term detail for continued investment and refurbishment in student accommodation and related facilities. Bed and mattress are old. "Kerb appeal" outside areas could do with a good tidy up and clean. However overall that is "only constructive" and the value does over-ride all comments.

Booking engine/ web site is excellent (booking.com). Very efficient check-in procedures. Compared to St Andrews hotel prices, provides excellent value for money. Definately recommend.

Nothing really.

As a golfer, the accommodation is ideally located close to the Old Course and all the other links. A short walk will take you into the heart of St Andrews. Rooms are a good size and en suite. Breakfast is of a buffet style and there is lots of choice. Most importantly the accommodation is, in a top quality area of the world, affordable.

We would prefer a firmer mattress, but that’s personal choice. Lights above the bed were a bit temperamental.

Great good value option when visiting St Andrews. Super clean and well supplied with toiletries, tea, coffee & soft towels. Decent bathroom. Has everything you need for a short stay. The reception and bar area is very good. Excellent breakfast included- so much choice, including veggie, vegan & gluten free. All help yourself.

Location was outstanding. Price was also great. Food options for an evening meal just so so. Breakfast was outstanding - except for the continual scraping of chairs on the floor (yes we get it, there is no way around that)

Primarily, great value for money in a town that can be pricey. The location is excellent being just a 10 minute walk to the town centre and 5 to the golf course; ideal for going out for a walk at nights. The building is very clean, staff are friendly and there is an abundance of parking included in the price. Unsurprisingly, the room is basic considering its student accomodation but perfectly comfortable, especially for the price. If you're using it as a base to explore then it's ideal - this is affordable accomodation for tourists and business alike. The best point and biggest surprise was the breakfast. Great options, fresh food, great quality - probably the best breakfast we've had at any hotel, way beyond what is reasonable to expect at this price point.

The stay was overall okay, but there were a couple of major issues. The bathroom sink was clogged, and most importantly, the bed seemed to be full of dust mites — we ended up covered in bites. The beds themselves were also quite small and not very comfortable. On the positive side, the breakfast was definitely the highlight: varied, tasty, and well-prepared. With better maintenance, cleaner and more comfortable beds, this could be a much better experience.

The room was a bit cramped, it was too hot and, because we had to sleep with the windows open, there was a drip coming from outside.

Breakfast was excellent, the building was very nice, the grounds and meadows were lovely. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Just one small complaint that on the second night I was awoken by very noisy guests banging doors and shouting for some time around 1 or 2am.

Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were super friendly. Location was good especially for public transport.
