Some of the photos were not accurate - ie decor and furniture in main living room very dated compared to what’s shown in images which is a shame as the decor was something which drew us to book. Not many drinking glasses either, could do with more when 4 people are staying.

My husband is 6ft 3” and standing in the bath for a shower was a bit of a problem. If ever doing a bathroom refurbishment I would suggest a walk in shower instead of a bath. Not a problem though as such, he coped 😂

Absolutely lovely with a really comfortable bed and a good shower. Good cooking facilities in the kitchen and being left the basics of bread milk and butter was lovely. We had the dogs and there was a lovely walk straight from the cottage. It’s in a lovely peaceful location with great views

Lovely and cosy cottage with everything you could need with beautiful views of the country side. Nice touch to receive a bottle of wine and milk on arrival. Host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

It would have been helpful to have a guide book / list of recommendations for things to do in the local area and walks available from the property. The property was quite tired and more dated than the photos on the listing

We couldn’t get live tv to work. No hairdryer. Few cobwebs about. Window latch broken in main bedroom. Also windows could do with a clean.

Warm & cosy. Lovely soft furnishings. Quiet with stunning views. Great location. Airfryer great. Beautiful little bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Thick fluffy towels. Appreciated the milk in fridge on arrival.

A bit of an awkward set up where the TV is placed in the front room for evening watching. Switching where the tv/sofas is located might help… not set up like the photos on website. Piano is not in tune and you can’t shut the door to conservatory so the cold comes in.

Great location for lots of National Trust and larger towns. Comfy bed, lovely fireplace and thoughtful host. Would be even more beautiful in the warmer months.

Slightly dated in parts and a hairdryer would be helpful but these are only minor issues.

The guest house was warm, cosy and clean. Bread, milk and a couple of beers left in the fridge, we didn’t use them but it was a nice touch. Had a slight issue with the WiFi when we arrived but the hosts were very helpful.

We appreciated the conviviality and helpfulness of the hosts. The spacious accommodation was very comfortable, especially the large bed in the main bedroom! There was plenty of room to park in the front of the house. The extensive views from the back of the house were amazing. We both had a very pleasant and restful stay.

Great walks nearby through woodlands and streams if you go a bit further. The footpath nearby the house so no need to drive anywhere. The owner made our dog, baby v welcome.

The photos do not reflect the inside of the property as it is now. Carpets were dirty, boxes piled floor to ceiling in a bedroom, the interior was not white and fresh, clean lines. It was stained, tired, dark; a bit odd. They felt like someone had just vacated it moments before they arrived. Photos misrepresent what is available, which was disappointing as this reservation was made as a Christmas gift!

Booked for family - a couple. They had expected it to look like it was in the photos, but there was little comparison. They found it cosy but it was tired and stained in places. Whilst they had a good break they were disappointed that it did not reflect what was sold through Booking.com.

Only two little negative is that some of the mugs/tea cups had stains in them. As well as few stains on the bedding. But that's me being picky.

We had a lovely stay with our little family. The hosts supplied a cot for our little one and everything was available. The location was lovely, master room with a view to remember.
