Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

One of the bar staff didn't seem to like it when she poured half my pint then had to change the keg. When she came back she continued to pour the same pint. I asked her to pull me a clean one from the new keg. Her answer was that they don't do that there. Sorry but if a customer wants a fresh one they get a fresh one

All good. Being extremely picky there was no breakfast option. This was made clear at booking so no problem. Plenty of options within 5 minutes walk.
Location can’t be beaten. Could see the Cutty Sark’s masts from our room.

Excellent location in Greenwich. Lovely traditional room & furnishings. Beautifully clean with a stunning bathroom & shower. Will definitely stay here again.

We knew there would be scaffolding and that wasn’t a problem. However on the first morning we were wakened by a very loud and long conversation between two workmen on scaffolding, right outside our bedroom window. We felt we couldn’t open the window or the blind in very hot weather, while we were getting ready for our day because there was no privacy. This is the only reason I haven’t awarded the top star rating for this accommodation.
It was as described, really clean and in a central, lively location. We only had one interaction with the staff which was excellent - very clear and informative regarding keys, which doors to use and checkout procedure. To us, it was more like a pub with rooms to rent rather than a hotel, but we already suspected this from the photos and were happy to book under that understanding. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. We were also able to avail of early check in which was great. (We didn’t try the food. )

There were several flights of stairs, which would be a problem for anyone with limited mobility, given the lack of lift. There was no hairdryer, and the room was small. The slanted ceiling on one side of the bed would be difficult for a tall person.
The room was fairly quiet, given the busy location of the pub with Greenwich Market on one side and a busy road on the other. The bed was comfortable, and the ensuite shower very good.

Everything! Location backing onto Greenwich market is superb. The staff are wonderful and really make the stay special. Second time we’ve stayed. Super clean and gorgeous room.

Beautiful room and decor. Clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Check in is specific times only which was fine for us but if you’re arriving outside of these hours may be tricky. Our room was on the top floor which was a lot of steps would be tricky with lots of luggage! No AC but fans in the room. Great location for Greenwich close to DLR, boat and bus stops. Would stay again

Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing façade renovations, and scaffolding was positioned directly outside my window, completely obstructing the view.
Excellent location in the centre of Maritim Greenwich.

There is no negativity.
Friendly staff, great service, good atmosphere, and not far away from local attractions by and near the Thames. Enjoy the local bars and eateries.

Just was very hot in room and van wasn't great , was loud in the room even when windows closed .
Was beautiful , in good location . Did have scaffolding up but it didn't bother us. Little market next door . Perfect for us for our o2 area trip , public transport all close by and often

Very Hot in rooms , wall mounted fans helped though .
Location amazing perfect for Greenwich Market and O2 shows which is why we always come , the independent shops right on the doorstep of this hotel are a pleasure to stroll around and the choice of restaurants fabulous.Breakfast not applicable here but an abundance of choice within minutes of a walk .

Having been to similar establishments to elevate my rating to 9/10, our top floor room being compact could have benefited from a small chair or bench behind the door to bathroom to place clothes/items for person sleeping by the window. For a quick excess I would have stumbled on my person items placed on the floor. The 10/10 for me would been a small jug of fresh milk for tea/coffee.
Location. Access to the Pub. Room was compact but worked for us for 1 night possibly 2 nights would been okay too. Appreciated a cooler fan was in the room as 28-30° during stay.

Pub closed at 9pm on weeknights and had to check in before then, when I would otherwise have been arriving later.
Fantastic location just be Greenwich market and the Cutty Sark.

The location, although fantastic for the Cutty Sark and Greenwich Maritime buildings, is noisy.

It is an old building so steep stairs to the rooms and aircon would be nice as it was very humid this weekend.
There is no breakfast option but that was ok for us. We were attending an event at the O2 so great location and then perfect for enjoying Greenwich.
