A wonderful greeting by friendly hosts Shona and Billy. They were extremely helpful with with my car problems when we arrived. We had a quiet, clean, comfortable room with a little dressing area and spacious bathroom with lots of little finishing touches. A mini fridge with fresh milk was a nice touch with a range of tea and coffee. We had a lovely, freshly cooked breakfast each morning with a variety of choice combinations. Abingdon House is in a good location for trains and buses and close enough to walk into Torquay for beaches and dinner. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to friends visiting the area.

Shona and Billie were the perfect hosts who were keen to satisfy any requirements we had. The breakfasts were excellent and the en-suite room had all the usual facilities including extra's such as mini fridge and even needle and thread! The location was great being only a 10 minute walk to Torre Abbey Sands Beach where their is an array of restaurants/bars.

There is nothing at all to dislike! I suppose the only small thing is that the parking can be a bit tight, but obviously that can't be helped, and Billy was kind enough to move his car on our arrival to make room for us. But we didn't have a problem as we only used the car once during our stay.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights, and could not wish for better accommodation or hosts. Our room was on the ground floor which was brilliant as I have arthritis and struggle with stairs. The room was lovely and cosy, and the bed was so comfortable. Our hosts Billy and Shona were amazing, we received a cup of tea on arrival, nothing was too much trouble for them, they are such a lovely couple. There is a little seating area at the front of the property which was ideal to sit and relax after a busy day. The breakfasts were lovely and freshly cooked, my husband really enjoyed his full English. We would highly recommend Abingdon House, and will definitely be returning.

There wasn't anything to say we did not like, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and when in the area next, we will (hopefully) stay with Billy and Shona again (subject to availability only).

The welcome from our host, Shona, she is very friendly, warm and approachable. Shona showed us to our room, explained room specifics etc. Breakfast, cooked by Billy, was fantastic. Felt awful as I couldn't eat all plated up for me, needless to say my partner ate everything! Both Billy and Shona were friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the area too.

We loved our stay at Abingdon House. The hosts Shona and Billy are both lovely people and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was absolutely amazing _- easily the best I've had this year. Room was very clean and well equipped, comfy beds. Whole house was lovely. If we stay in Torquay again, we will stay here!

The host at the property could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We travelled and stayed there during the recent heatwave and the lady had placed some fans in the room to help try and keep us cool. We requested to have breakfast early and outside of the normal breakfast hours and this was no problem at all. The breakfast was amazing. The bed was comfy, the hotel was really clean! Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The beds were a little on the small size for us. The room was also a little small, but we'll fitted out, so no real issue.

The hosts were very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area. The food was fresh, good quality, very well presented and plenty of it. The room was well appointed, with everything you could need. The location was ideal for traveling around.

Property was easy to find. There’s a car park for 4 vehicles. The owner was so accommodating and very helpful for everything you needed. The room was so clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was superb! Nothing more not to like…I really recommended Abingdon House to everyone to stay.
