Could just do with a little TLC. The shower ran hot to cold to hot to cold throughout a shower, but was fine for the length of time we were there.

The location of the property was great, really central, beach on the doorstep, lots of shops and bars close by. The property looks a little dated from outside, and could do with a little TLC, however it was good value for money, clean, and we enjoyed our stay.

A lot of stairs to the top floor where we stayed, need to be quite agile. Not sure how secure the locks are on the doors but ok for our needs.

Very basic furnishings and decor but spotlessly clean. A comfy bed and an amazing view of the castle and sea. If you want high end not for you but for the price can't complain. Would I stay again? Yes.

Loose kitchen tap. Kitchen windows are very draughty. Room door catch requires more secure closure. Had to rewash breakfast bowls as dirty.

No water. Room wasn't serviced once over four nights. Crazy person rang the bell and banged on the door for ages between 11 and midnight one night 🙄

Shower was terrible, difficult to keep water hot and the pressure was really low if you did as they instructed. Really needed a good clean and some work.

Wonderful views over the castle and sea. Bed was comfortable.

- Shower was a little on the weak side - Hot water in the sinks took an absolute age to arrive from the taps - Sofa in the room was pretty tired and uncomfortable - Really awkward to draw the curtains in the room - could do with polishing the poles a bit!

- Room was light and airy - Really comfortable bed (if maybe a little high off the ground for us!) - Lots of accessible power points - Nice view of the castle - Basic but decent kitchen amenities

Not much to say really. It was a budget price and you get what you pay for. I wouldn't bring my other half here for a romantic break but all I wanted was a bed for the night and that's what I got.

Unfortunately, the Wifi kept dropping out, as did the TV signal, though that may have been because of the very high wind, which made for a very noisy night, since the sash windows rattled constantly.

The location was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and it was lovely to have a room that wasn't too hot. The room itself was spacious, and there was a lovely big shower in the ensuite. The check in arrangements were easy to follow, and the communication with the host was efficient and friendly before hand.

It's an old building and a little bit of wind rattled all the windows making it hard to sleep... the room is not finished well and the tv constantly lost Internet, which was an issue being a solo traveller.

Initially difficult to find and couldn't park that close to the hotel. Only coffee in room was sachets of 3 in 1 (coffee with creamer and sugar), not ideal for a strong coffee drinker who doesn't have sugar. Maybe just a couple of sachets of instant coffee would be good. Found curtains difficult to close (and open), don't slide along the poles very easily. Slip mat in shower might be an idea as I had a little skid as I was getting out.

The freedom to come and go at my own times as was supplied with a front door key. Nice and quiet. Hot water bottle was a nice touch, didn't use it but liked the idea. Can't comment on the staff as didn't meet you but your correspondence has always been friendly, informative and helpful.

Problems with the microwave, the plate didn't rotate as the clip underneath was broken. Luckily we didn't have to use it very often

A little overpriced, but pretty much all accommodation in the Highlands is, so was comparable..

Nice rural location, down a farm track just outside of town with a nice 15 minute walk in. Family accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped.
