Coffee at breakfast wasn't self service - I appreciate the coffee was probably nicer but as I like to start my day with more than one, I felt bad keep having to ask!

There was nothing to dislike

We had stayed at the hotel previously and that was acknowledged. The location is fabulous - very close to the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The hotel staff are very friendly, courteous and welcoming. The hotel atmosphere was relaxed but very efficient. Would recommend.

Starting to look a bit worn around the edges in places we had a few minor issues in the second room we booked -TV playing up etc but nothing major

Really friendly staff, I came with my parents (my dad is disabled and they have a dog) and everyone was very lovely and accommodating. We also got a free upgrade so our room was great! The location is also perfect. We had a great stay!

Basement

We received an upgrade. Room was beautifully done but spoiled by a few scratches on white paintwork and a dirty inside windowsill. Also it was a basement room, with the windows facing a dirty old wall.

Only sad thing was the terrace bar area turned out to be on the pavement next to passers by and traffic

Lovely spacious room with good shower. Despite being a historic building air conditioning was available which was essential as it was very hot during our stay. Breakfast was cooked to order which is a real find these days. Hotel was in the centre of Bath minutes away from all the historic sites and shopping streets

I would love to give this property a 10/10 but my bathroom could have used a deeper cleaning- especially the bath mat and sink. Also- it’s quite a noisy location which I don’t mind the outdoor noice because that cannot be avoided in a city centre- however I did mind the paper thin walls- you can hear everything everyone is doing around you- so light sleepers beware!

The location of this property is fantastic for a stay in Bath. The staff were very diligent and friendly, especially the breakfast crew. The breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the AC was very welcome on a warmer day.

Breakfast service was a shambles. Although we had been asked what time we wanted breakfast the day before, EVERYONE had arrived at the same time! The poor staff were really struggling to cope and there weren't enough seats. People on coach tours had to be ready by 9am and they were still waiting for cooked breakfast items at 8.50am. Very little choice of help yourself cereals, fruit etc. and bread for toast kept running out. Not a good impression for so many overseas visitors who were on a time schedule with coaches queuing outside to pick them up. It didn't matter so much for us but having to wait 20mins for our coffee wasn't good.

Welcoming staff who were happy to keep our bags until our room was ready. We were upgraded to a suite amazingly which was huge! They had a lot of coach tour parties staying which may have been the reason for this - we were independent travellers and had paid the standard rate. Very convenient location 10 mins from station - but fairly noisy in the evening due to central location. Things did quieten down and we got to sleep.
