How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. A great place to stay. The owners really look after you with great individual attention, including freshly cooked breakfast. The location is very quiet and peaceful (on a farm a little way off the B-road but easy to get to if you follow the owner’s instructions). The accommodation is very comfortable and you get a good night’s sleep.

The hosts Philip & Rose were extremely accommodating & very friendly. Bertie the cat was also very friendly 🐱😄. The accommodation was spotlessly clean throughout and is in a lovely rural area . The breakfast was very tasty and we would have liked to have stayed a bit longer. Would highly recommend .

Absolutely beautiful place, well thought out and tastefully decorated, lots of personal touches. Great sized room, very comfortable bed. Every need catered for by the friendly, professional hosts. More than enough options for breakfast and beautifully cooked and presented at the time of your choice. Highly recommend and I'm sure I will stay again.

Nothings it was perfect
Stayed at Abbey Green Farm for 2 nights when attending a wedding at Isycoed Park. Beautiful boutique type bed and breakfast accommodation in lovely rural setting . High quality furnishings , great timeless decor, gorgeous bathrooms all en-suite . The 3 stunning rooms in the annexe also have a lovely shared airy lounge area and outside decking . Great choice for 3 couples. The hot breakfast menu was extensive and cooked to order or you can chose from a lovely selection of cereals /yogurt fruit etc. Lactose intolerance was covered too. Everything about Abbey Green exudes quality and exemplary service .Many thanks to Rose and Phil for their kindness and helping with transport issues when our car wouldn’t start.. above and beyond taking our daughter to the station to catch her train. Totally recommend this place for the bed and breakfast, but can see the camping will be equally as great given Rose and Phil’s attention to detail .

This is an outstanding B&B, the facilities are beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, the hosts are wonderful, pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast is cooked specifically for you and is excellent, Highly recommended, we have stayed at many B&B's and hotels all over the UK, this is by far the best experience we have ever had.

Room was light at night with curtains closed, due to safety light.
Beautiful location and rooms, great breakfast. Very clean. Rose was very engaging and especially went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

Finding it proved difficult for us. Once we got directions it was worth the effort.
