Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Excellent stay at no.22.very clean and well located in the heart of Wigtown , very high standard of facilities, fulfilled all our expectations with good communication with the owner. I would definitely recommend.

Accommodates 6 but largely set up for 4. Lack of places to put things in bathrooms. Need more hooks - towels, tea towels, clothes. Lounge seating not to my taste
Location perfect. A good size. A bathroom per bedroom. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Spotless. All the important things.

No issues for us.
This is a lovely holiday home. It was very clean and in an excellent peaceful location. It was a good size with an open plan layout downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 with en suite).

Good property for family of 4. Everything in very good condition. Three bathrooms (2 en-suite) was great. Well equipped kitchen both appliances and plates, glasses etc. Enjoyed staying in the area.

Nothing really, however the oven was like the krypton factor :-). Some oven trays would be useful.
Very roomy, well decorated, all the facilties you could need for a long or short stay. Comfortable beds- airy rooms with en suite to two of them. Right on the main street, with everything on the doorstep. Very secure and plenty of space for your travel necessities.

Strange plumbing noises. Need more permanent labels on the three keys to avoid messing about trying to find the right one every time!
Good very quiet location. Very well designed and decorated modern property. Extremely comfortable, spacious rooms. Easy parking on very wide quiet main street.

A fantastic base to explore all the bookshops in Wigtown and surrounding area. Co Op is only a couple of minutes walk from the accommodation and well stocked.Communication from the owner Graeme was great. House had everything we needed for our long weekend. The 3 bathrooms were very welcome with having 4 adults staying!

The beds are OK. I didn't find them particularly comfy, but also not uncomfortable. Spouse was happy. I also suggest using coloured keychains, since the labels were fading and it was hard to guess which key to each door every time.
The house is large, well furnished, well equipped, and it's very close to the supermarket. The bathrooms are modern and there's a sense that the hosts actually care about the house.

Lovely clean and comfortable house. Rooms are spacious and well equipped (everything you would need, plus a variety of books and games). Porch handy to keep coats, wellies etc. Great location. Cashpoint around the corner, coop across the road, plenty of book shops for those who enjoy reading and a lovely chip shop next door. Locals were very friendly. Easy booking process and host confirmed access details as noted. They even made contact to see we had arrived safely and to make sure we had everything we needed - thank you 😊 Could not have asked for more.

Tv in livingroom bit to small for room size. Got hover out due to having my young children with me and unfortunately I had to remove full contents and filter needed a bit of a clean. I needed to wash few pans before cooking as still a bit greasy . However overall everything else was spot on.
Location lovely. Felt safe with my family. Locals friendly. Nice little pubs, walks. Maintenance gentleman for the property was lovely to chat to, met our request. Owner gave a courtesy call which was really nice and professional. Lovely airbnb. Absolute lovely log burner. Family really enjoyed the stay.

The sofas were so soft we got bad backs. The village is struggling. Opening times were unreliable in the extreme. It was the off season.

The sofa was not very comfortable, adding some cushions would help.
Great location in the heart of Wigtown. Spacious bedrooms. Great bathrooms. Appreciated the espresso machine and four Nespresso pods. Easy walk to the marvelous ReadingLasses bookshop and cafe with its great soup and range of home-baked cakes – also next door to the fish & chip shop which was handy!

We had everything we needed - can't think of anything that was must have that wasn't provided.
Excellent facilities with thoughtful extras to allow you to settle in right away. Spacious bedrooms. Great bathrooms. Lovely kitchen and sitting area. Doorstep walks, with plenty to see around the small town. Lots of local places in this part of the world for kids to enjoy as well.
