Just a small suggestion: since there is no breakfast or cafe on-site and the nearest one is a short walk away, adding a small espresso machine (like a Nespresso) to the rooms would be a fantastic and very welcome touch. The kettle was appreciated, but a real coffee machine would make the stay even better.

This is a lovely little hotel that I would happily recommend. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay feel warm and personal from the moment we arrived. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was charmingly decorated and had everything we needed. All the amenities were perfectly fine, and we had no complaints. Overall, we had a very positive experience and I would definitely book here again.

I can imagine the stairs might be inconvenient for some, but they weren’t an issue for us at all.

The location is perfect, just a 20-minute walk from downtown, with free street parking. The walk itself is lovely, with beautiful buildings and charming cafés/pubs/shops. It’s definitely worth walking, as it lets you experience more than just the touristy parts of the city. The bed was comfortable, and Room 6 faced away from the main road, which made it quieter.

A great place to stay. The host was very friendly and upgraded us to a room with a private toilet, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay. The place was about a 40-minute walk from the city center, but there was good bus service right outside the door.

There was a strong smell coming from the bathroom drains, and during the night the odor spread into the bedroom as well through the closed door. We really missed having a small fridge in the room – there would definitely be space for it. The bed was clean and comfortable but rather small for two people. Also, Room 5 is the only one with a bathroom located in the hallway rather than inside the room. At times, guests from the neighbouring room disturbed us when they kept walking past our door or even talking to each other from the bathroom to their room. There was simply quite a bit of ‘traffic’ right outside our door at times."

We were welcomed by the owner, who seemed like a really nice person. The common areas of the hotel looked clean and well-maintained. Our room was small but clean and tastefully furnished. We were worried about parking, but it was actually no problem to find a spot on the street just around the corner. There is a bus stop close to the hotel, buses run very frequently, and they take you straight to the city center in about 10 minutes – really easy.

I realised that the room had a separate bathroom which didn’t pose any problems until we tried the shower. Am sorry but the shower either run or it didn’t. It was cold one minute and scalding hot the next. Obviously being at the top of the house can cause difficulties but it was so bad that we didn’t use it the 2nd day and waited till we got home.

Everything was great. Room 5 was clean and very comfortable. Lovely house and very helpful information posted just inside the front door.

Would have preferred it, if breakfast was served at the Hotel, but we knew when we booked that the Hotel didn't do breakfast, so we can't complain, and you could get to cafés easily enough on the bus.

Location good, could get to the City Centre easily, due to the excellent bus service. Room was comfortable and very clean.

2 flights of stairs! Having broken my hip twice in the last two years l have difficulty climbing stairs, so the owner carried my case and jacket up and down the stairs and two and from my Car! Owner said that if l visited there again he would make sure I had a 1st floor room.

All of the following drawbacks were known to us in advance through the information about the property and previous reviews, so I am not unfairly taking them into consideration when rating the overall experience: The bathroom was a bit smaller than practical, there was some noise from the bathroom (ventilation) and the street audible at night, no breakfast was served, and trips to the city center involved a bus ride, which I did not particularly enjoy on an empty stomach. Nevertheless, being prepared, and given that the property exceeded our expectations, really, we were not bothered at all.

The room was very spacious, provided all the amenities we had wished for, was close to being absolutely spotless, and last but not least, its interior was just lovely, as was the entire property, its neighborhood -- and our kind host.
