We’ve had another fantastic stay at 1 Park Road, our go to when visiting the Lakes. A lovely warm welcome from Hilton, who allowed us to check in earlier (with prior agreement), which maximised our short time in the Lake District. A lovely clean spacious room (room 3) with very comfortable double & single beds and modern bathroom, on the first floor. Fully equipped with tea / coffee making facilities, with fresh milk for use in the fridge located on the upper floor. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful with a good choice of both cold and hot food options, including fresh strawberries, blueberries, banana’s and not forgetting the homemade jams and lemon curd which are a must to try! Location wise, the house is set on the corner of a quiet street / area and within walking distance to Windermere Town Centre (5mins), Windermere Station (12mins) and Bowness Lake (25mins), all walking at a steady pace. Everything was great.

No 1 Park Road is a gorgeous Victorian property. The rooms are large and very comfortable. In a peaceful pretty area. Hilton was a fabulous host. He provided lots of personal touches. Hiltons breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. The location was perfect for exploring Windermere and surrounding areas. Two minutes walk to Windermere town centre. The Brookside 5 mins away, served lovely pub grub. 20 to 25 minutes walk to Bowness and the lake. You can also catch the bus or a taxi. We enjoyed a great meal at The Hole int wall, Bowness. And drinks in The Albert and The Crafty Baa. If you fancy a short ferry across the lake. Take the car ferry, a stride away from the Bowness main ferry, to the Peaceful west side of the lake. We would recommend staying at No 1 Park Road.

The host was very warm and attentive, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was freshly prepared by him and tasted fantastic, with a wide variety to choose from. The room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. It was quiet at night, and we had a great rest. The shower had strong water pressure, making it very pleasant to use. The hotel’s location was excellent, just about a 5-minute walk from the town center. We would definitely stay here again the next time.

The guesthouse was incredibly comfortable, clean and quiet. Excellent location when relying on public transport and your feet! Hilton is very attentive to guests’ needs and prepared a delicious vegan breakfast for me each morning!

My husband and I traveled to the Lake District for a long weekend and stayed at Hilton's guest house on One Park Road. It was truly a wonderful stay! The house itself is very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely living room and a bright, welcoming breakfast room. Our bedroom was also very spacious, extremely clean, and comfortable throughout. The whole experience felt so much more personal and homey than staying in a hotel. Hilton was an exceptional host who personally welcomed us upon arrival and saw us off when we departed. He was incredibly thoughtful and attentive to all our needs during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding value - featuring fresh fruit, a great variety of breakfast essentials, and selections freshly cooked by Hilton himself. I would highly recommend One Park Road if you're looking for a restful place to unwind after long days of hiking in the Lake District. The combination of comfortable accommodations and Hilton's warm hospitality made our weekend truly special.

The house is very nice and cosy, it has a historic vibe while all essentials are super new and renovated, including new double glazed windows. The bathroom was equipped with everything you might need for your stay, with thoughtful details. breakfast was very good and included a big variety of food. The host is very nice and friendly and can help with planning a day out or getting anywhere you want in Lake District. We had a great time staying here.

The property looks amazing, is clean, and has everything that you need. You will find coffee, water and some small treats as well in the room. Location is perfect, close to shops and restaurants. Host is absolutely amazing, he is happy to provide whatever information you need for your stay, from what to visit and where to go to good places to eat. Very comfortable beds. Definitely recommend.

The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The location was very convenient—just about a 10-minute walk from the train station and 20 minutes to the lake. Hilton was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and he gave us some really helpful travel suggestions.

Clean, peaceful and beautiful location. Less than 10 minutes drive from the Lake Windermere Hilton cooked us an amazing breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed.

From the moment we arrived, Hilton greeted us and took care of us. He recommended areas to visit around Windemere. The B&B is a Lovely Old House, that is in Perfect condition and decorated exquisitely. We would recommend staying here if you are exploring the Lakes District. Breakfast was very good both Mornings we were there.
