Lovely and comfortable room. Bed was very comfy. Location was excellent, right next to train station. Plenty parking around hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Location was ideal for us for to visit south fife and edinburgh. Loved the decor. Bed was comfy and clean. Loved the digital lock, one less thing to carry not needing a key. Host was great at communications.

There was no internet in our room - neither of our devices has located the network under the name sent to us in the check in instructions. I have tried to contact the lady using the booking message system and WhatsApp but received no response until our stay ended. We required the internet for work, and unfortunately had to use mobile data, which cost quite a bit. The room could have also been cleaned better - there were used napkins of unknown origin in the bedside table. The picture is provided.

The room is huge and well-equipped, it is very beautiful and the building is very attractive. The room has all you would require for your stay, and it is definitely good value for money considering its interior. The location is very nice as well, it is close to the railway station, and there are lots of possibilities for parking nearby.

Unavailability of WiFi.

The room was quaint and comfortable enough. Unfortunately, when we stayed for 2 nights, the temporary Wifi set up to tide over until a better solution was found was unavailable in our room. This also meant that the TV did not work.

We were attending an evening wedding reception close by so the location was perfect for us. We were given the spacious suite which had some nice eye-catching original features preserved and was stylishly decorated.

The floor as well as the window of the room wasn't fully clean. The window probably was just a personal issue because I'm afraid of spiders and there were spiders as well as cobwebs. The shower door didn't fully close/ I was scared to break it when closing which made it a bit difficult to shower without having water on the wooden floor of the bathroom. And I didn't realize that downstairs was a bar. On Friday night the music was on and quite loud until around midnight. It was okay for me, but maybe it's not for everyone.

The self check-in was really easy and I received all information via booking and text message. Although I was just by myself the bed seemed even for two people quite big and the entire room seemed pretty modern and fairly new. The little present was very sweet.

There were some things needed attention. The bedside lamps weren’t usable, the room door hit the bedside cabinet, the shower room door was very difficult to open/shut, especially quietly.

It was fine for a couple of nights. The bar was open downstairs( not the restaurant) but there was no noise after 11.15pm

A couple of tins of irn bru was a canny addition (the gift mentioned in the email). The kettle worked in this room (lomond hills, but not in the other). Two lovely sized cups next to kettle allowed us to pour coffee however one cup had such a large crack in it the coffee drained away. A little wear shown on the walls but otherwise and at the price fine.

It was well dressed, really easy access and the beds were so comfy. The use by the owner of the hotel, of booking.com was a plus as the other tool they used seemed to have a bit of conflict between the owner and it (expedia). At only £58 the room was fine for one night. All good so far. Contact was easy and owner responsive.

No blackout blinds for sleeping. No cooking on-site, but i think there is in the future? WiFi wasn't working and was internet TV so not active. I think the place is just getting up & running so few teething problems

Unable to get access on arrival due to entry instructions not being sent. Contact numbers on front door & online took me to an ex employee! Sorted eventually thanks to advice from bar staff next door. Clean but not immaculate, WiFi in the building is abysmal, had to hotspot TV off my mobile 5g. Security at night could be a risk with users of bar downstairs able to get up to rooms with ease, no separation.

Excellent location for train station and shop, bars, cafes all nearby. Tastefully decorated, clean fresh bedding, great shower and nice touch leaving gifts on arrival.

I had to wait a little to get the access code, it was not ready at 3pm, when you are supposed to be able to get to your room.

Spacious, comfortable room, refurbished, comfortable bed. Tea kettle in the room, with a complimentary snacks. The bar downstairs is open now, which helps because there are not many option for dining in the village. Easy access to the A911. I didn't mind, but it is important to note, that the rooms are on the upper floor without a lift. Overall, a very pleasant stay

Based on the description on Booking.com, we thought the property was new. It was not. I guess it just changed ownership. The property could do with freshening up: paint walls and fix some furniture. The bathroom fixtures had been renovated during the past year or two probably.

The lack of communication when asking questions to the host and also needing to phone them at check in time as we hadn’t received our check-in instructions. Not getting a response to our previous (simple) query meant we weren’t able to plan an aspect of our stay in advance which was quite disappointing as we were trying to coordinate other things during our visit. It also made us anxious during our journey when we hadn’t received check-in instructions in advance of arrival. It wouldn’t put us off staying again, but feel this aspect of the process needs to be improved a little for the level of service to be consistent with the standard of accommodation.

Excellent room in a nice old building, well appointed, good quality linens, toiletries and with a supportive and comfortable bed. Modern Smart TV and decent WiFi. As described and pictured. Good automated instructions via the messaging system and information in the room. Plenty of hot water for the big bath. We personally would have preferred better black-out curtains, but this may not bother other people.
