“Loved everything about it. The only issue was that the pictures didn't match. For example, I booked what looked like it had a sofa as well as a gas cooker oven. Actually, it was only 1 bed with 2 chairs. Air fryer, microwave and a barbecue grill. I was a little bit disappointed but we made it work. Still happy 😊 was romantic and cosy. Definitely will be returning. Nice gesture with a bottle of champagne some crisps and shortbread biscuits. Amazing little getaway. Have to say the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was a bonus. Very delighted 😀”
“The Wynnstay is a handsome historic property, a pioneering Georgian enterprise in opening the Welsh Border to tourism and commerce, and that does bring the disadvantage of being a complex site with no guest lifts. That's the only real drawback to it, and I was impressed with the clever way that a small bedroom had been adapted for the use of a present-day guest.”
“A lovely resort in a peaceful location by the canal. Clean, comfortable and well looked after. A great place to stay for a relaxing break with great facilities. An excellent breakfast.”
“The room in the eaves full of exposed beams was lovely. The property is only a very short walk of the town centre or park. The room had ample storage cupboard. The cleaner from Ukraine was an absolute delight to talk to and although we didn't need the room serviced daily, she changed our tea cups and supplied new milk to the in-room fridge daily.”
“The location is amazing and very calming although the neighbours (cows) were a tad noisy at times!
I'd asked for the hot tub to be lit prior to my arrival and it was. Which is good because I couldn't find a lighter in the hut, I never thought to bring one with me. There were towels though.
Considering it's in a field, it was clean and matched the description - the hut being comfortable and the outside area perfect for me to sit out and enjoy the scenery.
There's a battery pack for a lamp, with a socket and usb slot, a stove for if it's cold - and a kettle on top if you need to brew up.
The toilet is a compost one but has toilet roll and wipes. There's no tap but I managed with a bottle of water - plus the hot tub of course. It was still really warm the next morning!
I'm not normally a camper so I didn't take a lot with me but it'd be useful to treat this like a camping experience and take everything you think you'd need.”
