“The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The full Scottish was freshly cooked and came with plenty of sausage, bacon, and haggis with a good choice of eggs fried, scrambled, or poached. The porridge was well-cooked and was a generous portion in a nice, large bowl with cream and golden syrup. There was a good choice of cereals, coffee, tea, yogurts and fruit drinks. No fresh fruit, though, which we have had in most hotels.
The bedroom was on the small side, but clean and tidy, and big enough for our needs, with a decent-sized HD Television. The bed was comfortable and we all slept well. There was a good selection of tea and coffee, as well as a Dolce Gusto coffee maker and a kettle.
The hotel public areas are in very good condition for a building over 200 years old and the bar and restaurant prices are reasonable. There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the hotel.”

The produce provided for breakfast was delicious and the style inside the hut is beautifully thought out. We also visited some of the recommended places by Theresa and were very impressed, we particularly liked the Hermitage.”
