How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The air-conditioning wasn't on in our room when we arrived it was quite hot. The air-conditioning did work very well when turned on.
The restaurant was exceptional. The chef is amazing. Everyone was friendly and it was a familiar atmosphere.

I was about to write coffee in the room, but then I remembered the excellent coffee in the bar downstairs, so all good.

Simple, basic hotel, with friendly reception, comfortable bed, quiet area and close to the beach. Perfect stopover on our way South. Excellent value for money. (We didn't have dinner or breakfast here, so can't comment). Recommended.

Nothing , all was good.
Really good location couple minute from the beach where we spent most of our time,we had the family room which was clean and well equipped, breakfast was lovely crossaints , jam ,French bread with ham and cheese ,super coffee and juices too. Couple that run hotel really nice and pleasant and helpful when asked any questions. I would stay again but I missed having a balcony but that was the only thing .

I just think the breakfast could be more developed, it was a little bit basic.
Very nice atmosphere in this charming house with a cosy terrass, very close to the beach, nice, spacy and confortable room, the owner is also helping if needed.

Villa Les Sirenes was a perfect spot for my visit to Argeles-sur-mer. I appreciated that it was close enough to everything without being in the busy areas. The owner and staff were so helpful and welcoming, and accommodated my poor French language skills gracefully. The rooms get quite hot during the day, but with attention to keeping the windows and dark curtains closed during the day, and the good fan provided, I was able to sleep. Would stay again!

The shower is horrible. The water stream went weak and strong randomly. The room interior is so poor with the floors being cracked. The bath was cracked and the noise coming from outside was so loud and disruptive during the night.
The location is nice, it is not far away from the beach. The mattresses were decent.

Tacky deco. Simple lines are always better. Bathroom lacking in-depth cleaning. Bedroom window facing the bar and reception area. Zero privacy. No indoor relaxation area apart from the room.

Check in times are ridiculous 5-8pm. We arrived at 2pm and we had to wait with the luggage until 5pm as it was no one around and they have locked the gate. No one answered the phone call, but they replied on my message on booking saying to come back at 5pm. The floor in the room was very bad with screws in to hold and over night I hurt my leg. I have attached photos of those nasty things. They had no mosquito net for windows and we got bitten several times as they had plenty of mosquitoes in the room. No air conditioning, but we had a fan. During our 3 nights stay, no one came in our room to clean the floor at least, very necessary because we were bringing sand from the beach, was inevitable, no to mention the towels - we had the same for the entire stay.
The Location was good, less than 5 minutes from the beach.
