Stately home with grand rooms and beautiful grounds. The owners are also the hosts and they take excellent care of you. Place is central to many hikes and attractions. And only 50 min drive to the coast.

Beautiful old house, very comfortable and welcoming. We had one of the front rooms with large veranda and fabulous views of the mountains. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, large bathroom, all very clean with quirky decorations. The breakfast was generous, with a wide choice. Lots of places to sit, both inside and outside in the garden. Lovely swimming pool. Quiet but only 5 minutes walk from Prades centre. Would highly recommend, and we would love to come back.

Perfect hosts. Welcoming and helpful. Comfortable room. Extensive breakfast which was thoroughly appreciated. Other treats available on request. Beautiful and impressive grounds. You wouldn't know you were in a residential area.

The property & the grounds were unique & special. Loved the pool & the wrap around balcony. Bed comfortable & great breakfasts. 10 minute walk to restaurants. Good location for visiting attractions nearby.

Excellent selection of breakfast foods. Very comfortable bedroom with en-suite and verandah with stunning views. Within walking distance to Prades town centre. Beautiful well-maintained grounds. Very hospitable hosts. Easy parking.

Had to carry bags up a stair, but was only a minor inconvenience when compared to the uniqueness of the property

The house is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Nick and Kate were kind & generous and made the stay feel really special, and Nick was kind enough to give us a lift to Le Petit Train Jaune when the bus didn’t turn up. Would love to visit again in the future.

The bathroom was a little outdated, however in such a building the cost would be prohibitive to update it.

The English couple running the hotel were very welcoming and gave us (probably) the best room in the hotel, with a massive double balcony and extensive mountain views. They even offered us a lift to Villefranche.

Bit far from train station. When you coming from Perpignon direction, there is a very close bus stop. Another direction bus stop is far, at the train station, unfortunately.

The building has medieval taste, feeling like having time in museum lounge. The scenery toward the mountain from the big window is magnificent.

This is a great location for exploring the surrounding area: Prades is a small town with a commercial zone away from the old centre and accessed from the by-pass. Access to local villages, walking routes and other activities is easy by car, and there is a SNCF line to/from Perpignan. The beautiful house sits in a large garden (with swimming pool) and is magnificently restored. It is gorgeous inside, and run in a friendly, very relaxed way; every facility you could want is provided or offered (eg use of a washing machine, fridge in the room, honesty bar for snacks etc)

The walkable restaurant offerings were few and not great, but we made it work.

Spectacular view of the mountain. The property is in a landscaped compound, so feels very secure and private. Get the Canigou room - beautiful terrace deck. Many good day trips from Prades.
