The house is exquisite,such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Annie is very kind and helpful. The decoration and attention to detail in everything is incredible. We stayed in the superior room with a big bathroom and bathtub and view of the garden. I loved this bathroom. Everything is so tastefully and thoughtfully done. There were even lovely bath bombs to put in the bath. The breakfast was soo beautiful and the room is heaven. The little village is very pretty with an excellent restaurant and there are lovely hikes to the the Abbey etc. We were sad leaving and hope we will be able to return. Thankyou Annie,we loved our stay.

The hostess was very welcoming and very helpful in reccommending restaurants and making reservations for us. The villa is very charming with lots of beautiful paintings and artifacts. The garden was lovely. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was a treat in dining area with delightful views of trees and the mountains. Vernet Les Bains is a picturesque mountain town.

A wonderful place to stay in the lovely small town of Vernet-les-Bains, in the valley of Cady, within a hiking distance or a short drive to the abbey of St Martin de Canigou and many other jewels of the Catalonian Pyrenees on the French side. Total quiet except the clock of the church (we liked it, but it could be disturbing if you are a light sleeper and not accustomed to these things). Comfortable beds and a nice breakfast. Annie (the owner) is a very nice lady that takes pride in making her guests happy. Of course, this is a B & B type of accommodation so you are in somebody’s house, albeit with your own facilities; some people may like this type of accommodation and some may not, but this one is certainly among the very best of its kind.

Ann and Jean Francois were wonderful hosts! They were so helpful and even made dinner reservations for us. Our room was magnificent and had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was fun to just walk around the house and the property to see all of the artwork and eclectic collections. Breakfast was outstanding! It was a spread fit for a king!

A real treat for lovers of old times. Beautifully maintained villa from the end of the 19th century in a charming garden above the town with lots of period details. You feel like you are welcome guests. Possibility of parking in the garden. Thank you

Nothing. We were happy with everything. We thought lack of an air conditioner might be a problem but our room kept nice and cool in very hot weather. We left the windows wide open at night and no bugs or flies came in. It was blissfully peaceful and quiet. Some people will prefer not to climb the beautiful old staircase but we saw it as part of living in a very French early 20thc home.

Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, patient with our rudimentary French and helpful. Our stay with them was truly exceptional, an experience we will always remember and value. We would love to one day return if we can. We wish we’d had more time and could have done some day walks recommended by our well informed hosts. We loved: the beautiful breakfasts served in the dining room, our talks with our well informed and patient hosts, the house itself and its interesting art collection, the garden, time with the pet dogs and the not difficult walk to small restaurants and the bus stop. We appreciated so much being collected from the bus stop on our first day.

It was all fine - the parking arrangements are a little complicated, but it isn't a problem, and you get safe on-site parking in the large garden.

The setting is fabulous - perched high overlooking the town of Vernet-les-Bains - and a short walk from the small square (which has a bank, bakery and a few restaurants) and the church at the top of the old town. It is alo a good starting point for walks into the hills. The house itself is beautifully restored and nicely decorated - the host Annie is very helpful, and the breakfast is magnificent...a table laden with healthy food by an open window in a large salon...what a start to the day!

A large villa with beautiful rooms and furnishings. Like an art gallery/museum. Bedroom was large, bed comfortable, every comfort was provided. Breakfast was exceptional. The host, Annie, was so welcoming, caring, thoughtful, and just genuinely delightful.

No air con or coffee maker which the booking.com site said were present but it really wasn’t a problem for us.

Location, excellent hosts, spacious quirky rooms, comfortable beds with wonderful linen sheets. Breakfast beautifully presented. Hosts recommended restaurants for us. Friendly resident dogs! Secure parking.
