How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great place, felt like a family type community. Most of the people staying there, were there to surf and relax. It was so lovely to be with like minded people.

A beautifully run hostel. I experienced a nice family vibe with the other visitors at the time, it was clean, neat and tidy, well equipped kitchen, great location, and good coffee. Feels like a coastal home, safe and free to come and go.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and I liked how the fridge and food stores were organised my bed no.

Nothing, this hostel was perfect!
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. I travelled solo and within a day, had got to know everyone else staying in the hostel. It has a cool vibe and a comfortable chilling area where we could cook (in a clean kitchen with lots of cupboard & fridge space) and play games. There are coworking cafes right outside the hostel, although they don't appear on Google maps, which were open every day and provided lots of different spaces to work while staying here. The main surfing beach is about a five minute walk and the town centre is closer to 10 minutes, but plenty of authentic French restaurants within a few minutes walk, too. I stayed for a full week and had lots of great company, caught some amazing waves, and found a new place to eat every day (a cheap shop is right next to the hostel for home cooks, too).

Well maintained and managed hostel, close to the wonderful oceanic beach.🌊 I stayed there a few days before leaving for the Camino de Santiago, great if you want to get into the atmosphere of Biarritz and make new friends!😁👋🏻

This is a single room hostel with story bunk beds. I wouldn’t like it if I was on the top bunk
I liked that it was so close to the beach that you can see the waves. The arrangement hostel is done well, they have assigned kitchen & fridge space and lockers to your bed. It’s super close to a supermarket so yo I don’t hace to eat out if you don’t want to

N/A Maybe the staff could have been a bit more friendly. But at the same time, they were not rude so this is just a personal preference
Very comfortable dorm beds and very clean hostel. Everything went smoothly. The place had wonderful people. The room was quiet. All necessities including coffee and tea were offered by the hostel for free. I will definitely stay again

Really close to the beach and grocery store. Loved the free coffee machine! Hosts were really nice and the hostel had a great vibe. Also cleaned daily which was really nice.

No complaints.
It was such a cute vibe, the hostel is well done, and the location was perfect. Even though I had some reservations about the single dorm situation, it made for a really good environment to meet people. I made some really cool friends. I unexpectedly had to extend my stay and they were so flexible and accommodating when I asked to stay an extra night.

I think the stairs to get into the bed could have been a bit more safe. More handles. Also I think 5 euro for renting a towel is a bit expensive.
The small set up of the hostel. Lots of sanitair for the amount of people and it seems like they try to create a community kind of setting.

Would’ve appreciated more storage space but I should just learn to travel lighter 🥲
Place was always very clean. Staff were super friendly and all people who stayed at the hostel were great about respecting quiet policy in the sleeping area. Best vibe and best experience in a hostel that I’ve ever had.

Renting towels was a bit harsh when it came with other hostels stays in France.
