Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere’s nothing I didn’t like And if your experience is as wonderful as ours, pay it forward—tell others about this hidden gem and help keep caring small businesses like Elisabeth’s alive. Une Vie en Rose is a place where beauty, kindness, and a deep sense of connection come together, and it’s an experience that should be shared with the world.
Staying at Une Vie en Rose in the French countryside was nothing short of magical, and that magic stems entirely from Elisabeth, our wonderful host. There are countless bed and breakfast options around the world, but Elisabeth has transformed her home into something far more special—it’s a sanctuary of warmth, care, and heartfelt hospitality. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that hosting isn’t just a business for Elisabeth; it’s her calling. She has a rare gift for making every guest feel not just welcome, but at home. Each morning, I found myself eagerly awaiting breakfast, not just for the delicious food, but for the conversations we shared around her table. Elisabeth is attuned to the needs of her guests in a way that feels deeply personal and thoughtful. It reminded me of the weekends I spent with my grandmother, whose breakfast table was always brimming with love, care, and that intangible sense of being nurtured. Breaking bread at Une Vie en Rose was a spiritual experience. Every meal, every moment felt intentional and filled with kindness. Elisabeth orchestrates your stay with the grace of someone who truly sees the beauty in life and wants to share it with others. As an American, I was curious about the meaning behind Une Vie en Rose, which translates to "life in pink." It’s an idiom that speaks to seeing life through rose-colored glasses—finding beauty in every moment and embracing the positive. This perfectly sums up our stay. If you come here with an open heart, you’ll find beauty in every corner, every meal, and every interaction. I told Elisabeth that I’m not an influencer, but I genuinely wish for her home to be filled with guests who appreciate the kind of care and thoughtfulness she provides. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, recharge, and experience something truly special, please do yourself a favor and book your stay here.

United KingdomWe had a small fridge in our living area, great for keeping milk and snacks. But no table, plates or cutlery for (eg) bread and cheese.
Lovely setting. Interesting farmhouse conversion with attractive gardens. Great breakfast, delightful hospitality from Elisabeth.

United StatesIt’s a charming property with spacious and comfortable rooms that have character. I stayed here to visit Monet’s gardens at Giverny and Chateau La Roche Guyon. Hosts Elisabeth and Raoul were most welcoming. They were kind to accommodate when traffic delayed my check-in time. Their breakfast spread has everything you could possibly want, with many options fait maison and all quite delicious. The best part of the stay was discussing life, meditation, and philosophy with Elisabeth over breakfast one morning. She is a lovely human. You will leave very content after your stay here.

United KingdomOnly slight thing that was less than perfect was the bedroom being up a narrow wooden staircase. Not so easy for nocturnal visits to the bathroom (for more elderly folk), but on the whole not too much of a problem.
Breakfast copious, with excellent choice and fresh, homemade products. Lovely peaceful rural location. Owners charming, friendly, and very helpful with local information. Dinner with the hosts one night was a real treat!

DenmarkThere's simply nothing to complain about
The location was superb - an authentic old farmhouse restored in the most beautiful way. A lovely garden with plenty of cozy areas and open for guests. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, organic and homemade and just delicious, and I can only say positive things about our room as well, with a large and nicely decorated bedroom on the 1st floor. Loved it. Elisabeth and Raoul are perfect hosts - welcoming, helpful and such nice people.
