Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandGood location, not too expensive of a location and quite close to the metro at La Défense.

IrelandNot really much nearby for food. There is a McDonald's and Subway a 10 minute walk away. It's in the financial sector so not much around.
Nice comfortable bed where I slept very well. The shower and bathroom were great also. I stayed there for a concert at La Defense arena which is a 30 min / 2km easy walk from the hotel.

NetherlandsWalk from the metro was a bit sketchy. Fire alarm went off in the morning but there was no organised evacuation and no explanation - it didn’t feel like there was someone in charge.

RomaniaThe breakfast is a joke, it was really not worth the money. If you arrive after 9 am almost every tray is empty and there is no refill. I even saw someone from the staff arranging the pain au chocolate with bare hands-no gloves, no utensils used- seemed really unsanitary. No shower caps or slippers in the room which should come by default at a 4-star hotel. I asked at the reception but nothing happened.
Convenient location if you know the area. For us it was easy to find because we were already familiar with La Defense, otherwise it would have been more complicated. Decent size of the room and the bathroom, no noise from the other rooms or from the hallway. Very comfortable mattress.

BelgiumThe fridge barely cooled, and airco settings were too restricted. There’s no wardrobe or shelving, just a few hangers, so I had to live out of my suitcase. Sound isolation was poor, and the breakfast was disappointing, with no fresh veg, stale options, and unhygienic shared jars. No ramp at the entrance, and the platform lift was out of service. Staff at check-out was cold and unengaged.
I really liked the overall design of the hotel, modern, clean, and visually very well done. The room felt comfortable and calming, with a spacious and nicely finished bathroom. Check-in was smooth and professional. I also appreciated the sustainability efforts, like the wall-mounted dispensers for toiletries and the refillable glass water bottle. The tea selection at breakfast was genuinely impressive, with fresh chamomile and loose-leaf options. Having a Monoprix just across the street was also super convenient.

United KingdomThe lift was not working and as a wheelchair user l always had to use the kitchen and other various entrances at the back. I didn’t feel independent as we always had to get someone to help us get into the building.

AzerbaijanThe location was complicated to find: We knew that we needed to walk from the metro station to the hotel. But the place is really complicated. There are several floors when you walk out of station and finding your way out is really hard. When you really look for it, there are signs that leads to hotel, but if it is night time, they are not really visible. It was very hard for us to find the place the first time. The breakfast is very overpriced: Breakfast is 20 euros per person (in Booking.com it says 19) and I would say it does not worth it. Not really many options, very small sitting place in which hard to find a seat and most of the things are mid level.
The room was very clean and it was cleaned every day by staff. They would refill everything and make the bed as well. Additionally, bed was really good.

United KingdomThe restaurant hours (and therefore room service) are a bit limited. The gym is tiny and has very little equipment but was clean and ambient.
Location is in the industrial area so fairly far from the centre, but it's not too far to walk to the metro. The hotel is nice, clean room and the breakfast is good, although could have used a bit more hot food.

United StatesNot central Paris but great if you’re needing La Defense.
Rooms were comfortable with nice amenities. Our France tour group stayed here at the start of our tour. We added an extra night here for convenience. It worked well. We did a day tour to Giverny and it was on the right side for that.

GermanyWhen we checked in, the water in the room was cold!! After several hours the water heater was finally repaired. It was really upset in the cold winter and after several hours travel then you can take a shower. The hairdryer was unstable, after normally several minutes, it was just broken down and then you leave it for several hours, it recovered....just like the water. And the room is too small for the place and price.
The stuffs are great, very nice and helpful.
