It was cold, particularly in the bedroom, on a damp February night. The landscaping and the gardens appeared to be work-in-progress so likely to be more useable and pleasant in by the summer but the layout is unwelcoming for a 4-star hotel. Guests are required to park in a muddy area across the road and carry cases through the gate up a gravel path when there are cars parked inside the gate in front of the house anyway.

Nice property, good food and a nice room. Convenient location for us in a beautiful rural part of France.

Drinks, including coffees, were expensive - somewhat surprised to be charged 95 cents for a dribble of milk to be added to a 3 euro after dinner expresso to make it a noisette.

Excellent breakfast. Lots of fruit, coffee, and eggs done to order. Suited us, just right for how our day subsequently turned out. We were able to continue our journey until lunch time, when we were ready to eat again. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable, though some may find having a clear glazed shower in the room disconcerting. We’ve been married long enough for it not to be a problem, but others may find it to be.

The weather (it rained), but nothing could be done about that!

Beautiful property in a peaceful rural location, customer service excellent, Roxanne checked us in to our beautiful room, with a huge comfy bed, great shower and lovely decor. We booked a meal in the restaurant and it was very good indeed, and chef Cyril Orinel came out to speak to us and other diners at the end of service. We were travelling through France from St Malo to attend a wedding in Bordeaux, and it was a lovely relaxing stop over. Cannot recommend it highly enough - Cyril and Roxanne are excellent hosts.

The only slight issue was the access to our bedroom. It was up some stone steps them more wooden stairs up into the bedroom. If anyone has mobility issues it could be a little awkward. Also the free wi.fi signal was not always very strong.

From the warm welcome by one of the owners all the way through the comfort of the bedroom and facilities, the wonderful breakfasts to the fine dining experience on our last evening everything was superb. We loved the quiet, peaceful location and having access to the garden as well as a terrace for taking a glass of their lovely wine. Cyril is a wonderful chef and we can recommend all the wonderful meals that are produced. He even added a special item for me which was delicious. We couldn't have had a more relaxing enjoyable stay. Thank you.

I chose this place to celebrate my 80th birthday and it did not disappoint. It is a beautiful place with a husband and wife running it. They were very attentive and run a beautiful inn. The meals were great and the husband was the cook; he cooked creative and good meals. We loved the wonderful surprise that there were two cats in residence. My birthday portrait was with Luna sitting on my lap; a very purrfect photo because of my love of cats and all animals. Having the cats was a wonderful addition, making the experience "like home".

If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track that has beautiful rooms and delicious food with excellent service , then head to Le Manoir de Pierre Levee, you won’t be disappointed.

Not at all easy to locate from the village. A sign to the hotel from the main road would have been helpful.
