Garage door not working, dishwasher not working. 10h departure time is tad over punitive with expensive overtime.

The chalet has a small living room, even for 4 persons. Some beds are pretty short. The cleaning of the chalet seems rather superficial. Lots of cobwebs in corners and around room decorations. The two sun loungers are uncomfortable and shabby.

The chalet offers a beautiful view on the Mont Blanc Massif and has a large sunny balcony. A large parasol provides sufficient shade if needed. Location of the chalet is well situated to visit the Chamonix valley and is furthermore ideal to visit the Chamonix valley by train.

    The location made it magical

There was some general maintenance needed to keep the chalet up to a good standard of safety. There isn't much seating for relaxing indoors, but just about enough for three adults and one child.

This is a self-catering property. The views of the stars, the Aiguilles du Midi, Mont Blanc range, and the village of Les Houches below were world class, the neighbourhood quiet and pleasant and the garden had some pretty wild flowers and lots of lizards, which are hard to see where we live. We also enjoyed seeing Red Deer visiting a neighbour's garden, a half-hour to observe a Black Woodpecker, many sightings of Nutcracker Birds and a close evening encounter with an Elk in the forest! We liked the ambiance at the chalet; we guess it was loved by someone in the 1970s and it still had a traditional feel (the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated, of course). We enjoyed the table and chairs on the veranda and spent a lot of time enjoying the view. The privacy and space was very welcome. We were grateful for the oil and salt supplied in the kitchen when we arrived (Cumbria to Les Houches by train).
