On arrival the owner gave us a tour and explanation of the history and renovations. Very helpful with parking on their property

My parking space was a bit tight to the entrance steps - difficult for me in a left hand drive hire car.

The location for the old city is magnificent. A two minute walk. It's self catering so a little grocery store and a pattiserie less than 30 seconds away is great. The on site parking behind the closed gates is great for vehicle safety. The studios have been decorated very well and look great. Whole interior is very clean throughout. Very difficult to find any faults at all. Superb

Getting the car in and out slightly tricky but not an issue.

Beautiful room, clean, spacious, and an excellent shower. The location was excellent, just minutes into town. The car parking was secure and private. The host was very helpful and pleasant. Having your own kitchenette was great. Pleanty of places to bring food back if you wish. We absolutely loved it, booked it both ways. If we were nearer, we would look to try the other rooms.

Curtains insufficient to block out light - a streetlight was shining through all night. (This was the only negative).

Beautiful, historic building. Great location between train/bus station, canal and the historic centre. Good facilities. Friendly and helpful. Recommended.

The location was excellent. Easy to walk everywhere. Parking was a private courtyard and very secure well worth the €8. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When the doors open into the courtyard it takes your breath away it’s beautiful. Then you go to your room and it’s beautiful. The bathroom has a modern shower in and is so clean.

Wifi signal was weak at times.

The man who owns the convent - a master carpenter by trade - has spent the past 40 years renovating the property. And he still supervises it today. The renovation has been done with quality in mind. The doors are solid wood as is the bedroom furniture - no IKEA here! The mattress was one of the most comfortable we'd slept on enabling us to get a good night's sleep.

The staff was pleasant, but a little too ‘rigid & rules-based’. - Apparently, it’s the guest’s responsibility to empty their trash cans (some place on the property that me wife found) - I wanted to use the w/r about 5 minutes after check-out and was told there is a public w/r. - The hotel left three coffee pods for the coffee maker. I asked for a fourth (so ny wife & I could each have two cups). I was told to buy a box of pods at a store. Nothing too serious. Just a little different than the customer-oriented service that I’ve experienced elsewhere.

Centrally located in a beautiful, historic building. Accommodations were well-furnished and spacious.

Limited sound proofing. Could hear anyone coming in and out of the building during the day and night.

The room was spacious and very clean. Effective air conditioning. Bathroom was a good size with a great shower unit. Very easy check in and very interesting building with a lot of history.

The check in was not straight forward. No staff were answering the door at either entry point when we first arrived, so we were going from one door to the other. Noise could be heard from the entrance hall as people came and went. Also, I'm not sure if placing an unlocked piano in the hallway is wise with children staying there! It was opposite our room.

Unusually designed room, spacious, clean and with good A/C. The location was near to the centre and came with parking.
