Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Belgiumonly small thing that would have been great is maybe some eggs with breakfast?
Quiet ground floor studio where I could safely put my bike. Make sure to check if the restaurant across the street is open, since it is the only one around.

NetherlandsI have stayed two days in the studio of the Ferme de Bonavis. The studio is excellent equipped and very quiet. The breakfast in the main house is well organised, everything you asked for is available. The host is very friendly and provides you with all possible information of the countryside, especially about the First World War. De Ferme is very well situated for visits of Cambrai, Saint Quentin and the battlefields of the First World War. There are fine restaurants nearby.

Full of history. Big welcome from the host. She made us feel completely relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. Recommended a new pizza restaurant in a town near by which was superb. We were travelling with a dog. The accommodation was superb for a large Golden Retriever. Nice big garden to have a run in and a river nearby to have a nice walk along. Only upset that she was fully booked for the trip home😩 Breakfast was great. All ingredients home made from the farm produce. Fresh yogurt, rhubarb and fig jam along with fresh French bread and croissants. Amazing.

Great location - not far from the autoroute junction. Handy for the local Abbaye and walk on the canal. Tremendously friendly host/s and very helpful. A good breakfast with sufficient choice of food. Good value for money.

Everything! Carole was a fantastic host. Amazing breakfast, lovely quiet room (we had the studio) with no traffic noise and comfy beds, hot shower, big towels and a kettle! (Don't often have them in French hotels we found and being English we need our morning tea...). Highly recommend this lovely place with such interesting history about the building and warm welcoming hosts. Top notch!

Great location just off the Motorway a few hours from the port of Calais. We were met by our friendly host who spoke good English and told us about the history of the farm and surrounding area. Very interesting! The room was very comfortable, very quiet and very secure for parking our motorcycle. Inside a gated farmyard and in a locked garage. Breakfast was excellent. Homemade yogurt and jams, cheese and bread. Simple, but delicious. Defiantly stay again given its great location and friendly welcome.

We stayed in the Studio at Ferme de Bonavis on our way home from a ski trip. It is a few minutes off the Autoroute and was clean, comfortable and warm (on a very cold January night). Breakfast was a delight - home made fig jam, pumpkin & orange jam, yoghurt and local honey to go with fresh croissants and baguette. Carole is a delightful host. Highly recommended.

United KingdomThe weather turned cold that night, and the room was a bit chilly. But you can't blame the hosts for the weather. Take your own food as eateries are a little way away, apart from a nearby bistro open Thurs, Fri, Sat.
It was a beautiful building, and the host Carole was amazing. She was able to talk to us about the history of her family home and very knowledgeable about the local area. I was unaware of how it was in the middle of fierce fighting in both WW. The local produce (some made by Carole) was delicious for breakfast.

United KingdomWe picked this property as it was a convenient stopover near the main motorway going south from Calais. We were pleased to find it minutes from the motorway and a direct easy route. The ground floor studio was clean and nicely decorated. There was a kitchen and amazing shower room which would be ideal for wheelchair use. The twin beds were very comfortable and heating easily adjustable. We prepared our own evening meal in the studio kitchen. Breakfast was included and taken in the main building. Our host was friendly and helpful.

United KingdomWe had to stay in the studio as they didn’t allow dogs in the main house or in the restaurant to eat dinner. It felt a little isolated but I had a kitchen to prepare some food which was good. The property decor is a little dated for my style, but some guests might like this. There are also lots of the surrounding out-buildings and barns that seem abandoned, whilst they have much potential to do more with them.
The owners were so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, offering a delicious breakfast including fruit picked from the garden. Everything in the room was also spotlessly clean and much care has been given to the guests comfort. This is a family who have been hosting guests for generations so understand and accommodate thoughtfully. It’s also located only a few minutes from the motorway which is great for a long drive stop-over. And there’s a lovely Abbey and canal nearby for walks and sightseeing.
